Riverfire on Channel 9 – Riverfire by Australian Retirement Trust is ready to dazzle Brisbane’s night skies to mark the beginning of the river city’s annual festival celebration, with Nine’s exclusive coverage giving viewers the best seat in the house on Saturday, September 2, after 9News at 6.00pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
Starting the 23-day festival with a bang, Riverfire by Australian Retirement Trust will light up Brisbane with one of Australia’s most electrifying fireworks displays, complemented by the crowd-favourite aerobatics from the Australian Defence Force. The cherished event that delights and captivates the city attracts more than 500,000 spectators (and counting) who cram into every available vantage point dotted along the Brisbane River.
Among the spectacular vantage points is Flight Centre HQ, which will be transformed into the 9News Queensland studio for the night to broadcast the 6.00pm Saturday news bulletin, before blasting into exclusive coverage of the fireworks special.
Hosted by 9News Queensland presenters Melissa Downes and Andrew Lofthouse, Riverfire has always been an unmissable night marked in their calendars.
