Recap | Married at First Sight Season 13 Episode 18 – It’s the beginning of MAFS’ Family and Friends Week, where our couples will get a glimpse at what their lives could look like together outside of the experiment.
More importantly, it’s the week nosy mums and protective besties can get the goss and cause some carnage.

Not that there’s been a shortage of carnage so far.
Bec has finally come to the conclusion that she and Danny aren’t as strong as she thought. No?!
When he said “ride or die” he didn’t mean “take everyone down in his honour”.
He’s pulled back but instead of talking to him about how upset this has made her, she went scorched earth on everyone else.
”I’m not a mind reader. If I was, I’d be a billionaire’ I’m just a millionaire,” he says.
Profound.
Crash Course Week
Today is move-in day for our newbies, and is that a smile on Tyson‘s face?
He’s developed a big ol’ man crush on “good bloke” John Aiken following last night’s Commitment Ceremony and he wants to make him proud by learning to tolerate Stephanie.

The experts’ words have had less of an impact on Juliette, who has seen a video of Joel online that has shaken her to her core.
It’s of Joel drumming. With items that are definitely not typical drumsticks.
Joel defends it as “slapstick comedy”, and I can’t help but find this deeply, deeply hilarious.
But for Juliette, this may be a hard one to overcome.
Crash Course Week is all about getting them up to speed with the others, meaning eye-gazing, photo rankings and audition tapes.
Steph and Tyson stare into each other’s eyes without feelings of fury for the first time.
Yay for progress!
Chris and Sam are given the audition tape task and Chris immediately starts sweating that this will give away his baby news.
He decides to get in first, nervous that Sam could see it as a dealbreaker.
But all that “shitting himself” ends with Sam giving him a big hug and congratulations – twice! Once for the donor child and again for his surrogacy plans.
“It’s not going to affect me wanting to date you,” Sam tells him.
EXCLUSIVE: Chris finally tells husband Sam he has two kids on the way
Juliette and Joel take on the honesty box and it’s honestly awful. Her ick appears to have morphed into disgust.
Asked to share three things she appreciates about Joel, she can muster up one: “You like to gym”.
Joel says he needs more kindness from her, so instead she continues with sarcasm and put-downs.
“I actually really liked that – I feel like I got a lot off my chest,” she says with a smile.
Family and Friends Week
For the original couples, today’s conversations lean more cheese platter than unconventional percussive instruments.
Gia and Scott are welcoming his mates and her mum, but most importantly Will, who you will remember from such wedding day quotes as “You’re not Mariah Carey, sit down” and “HELLO-UH”.

Their lunch is lovely until Scott’s mates Matt and Paige throw curveballs.
From parenting to long-distance to “Scotty, is Gia a better version of your ex?”

Every blow-up and bombshell as Friends and Family Week returns on MAFS 2026
One bride’s X-rated accusation.
Gia’s fuming.
Firstly, at his mates for shit-stirring and secondly, at Scott for not standing up for her.
EXCLUSIVE: Julia hits back against co-star claims after split from Grayson
Bec and Danny host her dad and aunty, and Danny’s mate Alex, who waste no time getting into the nitty-gritty.
Just as well, because there’s a lot to get through!
Bec begins with their early “sexual chemistry” problems. You could not pay me enough to say those words in front of my father, but good for her.
EXCLUSIVE: MAFS cast reveal their celebrity lookalikes
She also recounts her bad Dinner Party behaviour, and her dad Lee gives the quintessential “I’m not mad, just disappointed” look.
“At least you know,” he finds a tiny silver lining, saying verbal attacks were “not necessary”.
They cycle through Gia’s comment, Danny’s denial, her anger, his lack of validation etc. etc. and finally end the afternoon with a “but we’re actually going pretty well!”
Eventually, Lee heads home for a whiskey and lay down.
Later that night, there’s a dramatic twist.
Scott’s ex has resurfaced via the memory panel of his photo app and he’s refused to delete said photos of his ex from years ago. Gia’s walked out, declaring she’s “done with the experiment”.
Tomorrow night, meddling mums and best friends with big secrets descend, and Steph and Tyson’s progress takes a dozen steps back.
Didn’t see that coming!
What’s it all about? See you tomorrow to find out.
