Recap | Married at First Sight Season 13 Episode 10 – Ahhh, Intimacy Week! Massages, lingerie, deeply upsetting rejection – the MAFS staple is back!
It may be a new week but the rift between the brides definitely isn’t going anywhere.
Everyone is reeling from the argument between Stella and Brook at last night’s Commitment Ceremony.
MAFS: After The Dinner Party starts Wednesday February 18 only on Stan.
Stella says she’s never experienced anything like it before, but she’s got one of the experiment’s strongest connections so suck it!
OK, she doesn’t say it like that. But she vows to focus on her and Filip rather than “mean girls” moving forward.
Mel’s invited Luke over to chat because last night, John Aiken performed a miracle.
“This week I’m going to just try, I’m going to really try,” Mel says.
They vow to simply get along, which may be a low bar but it’s one that we’ve yet to see them clear. Yay for progress!
Sadly, there’s not much of that happening at Julia and Grayson‘s apartment.
Grayson wants to talk through their surprisingly awkward time on the couch yesterday, after he expressed that he felt like their relationship had stalled in the friend zone.
Julia just wants some more sleep.

They’re focusing a lot on Julia’s needs but as Grayson points out, he has some too.
But no. Julia just really wants some sleep.
That’s too bad, because she has a sexy afternoon out to get to!
The brides’ Intimacy Workshop
The first Intimacy Week task is for Luke to learn how to say hola.
The second is the brides’ workshop with Alessandra!
As many of the group talk about the wonderful “fanny flutters” going on in their marriages, Rebecca gets emotional.
She wants to respect Steve’s boundaries but she also craves more affection. Alessandra wants Rebecca to make sure she’s not shrinking herself to avoid scaring him off.
Julia’s connection with Grayson has been derailed by her lack of sleep. Oh, and their fight.
Moving forward, she wants to honour herself and expand their emotional depth and yeah nah I have absolutely no idea what is going on.
“OK,” Alessandra responds. Presumably because she also got lost somewhere between ”lean in” and “natural organic free-flowing energy”.

Last up is Rachel, who is very excited that Intimacy Week might get her a pash or 12.
She’s sick of pecks and wants a tonsil hockey tournament.
Hopefully their homework will help – as Alessandra instructs the brides to organise their ultimate female fantasy nights.
Spicy!
The brides’ ‘ultimate fantasy nights’
Rachel’s gone to Officeworks and grabbed some sexy stationery.
She’s got a Love Actually-inspired scene planned where she will hold up signs that ultimately end with her asking Steven to plant one on her.
Steven returns and does his best Keira Knightley impression. But his Keira Knightley is deeply, deeply uncomfortable.
Her sign asks for a kiss that will make her feel something.
“I can kiss you Rachel, I can kiss you but I’m not sure that it’ll make you feel something,” he replies.
STEVEN.
WHAT. ARE. YOU. DOING.
Rachel is obviously confused and devastated.
Steven explains that for him, their relationship feels like roommates or friends and he doesn’t want to kiss her without feeling a romantic connection.
“What a slap in the face,” Rachel cries, storming out in tears.

There are definitely more sparks flying at Alissa and David’s and Gia and Scott’s, where lingerie, bunny outfits and body oil do their thing.
Things are also being taken to a whole new level in Julia and Grayson’s apartment, but that level is … too deep. Not like that!
”At school, were you bullied?” Julia asks.
It’s one of 400 not-at-all-sexy questions she has to ask her groom, because her ultimate fantasy is about connecting over what they’ve learned in therapy or whether strangers have ever changed their lives.
While she’s having a multiple “mindgasms”, Grayson’s … not.
In a true miracle, there is more romance happening between Mel and Luke.
Seriously.
At least they’re laughing while having a cute mini-golf date.
Brook and Chris are back to laughing too, although it may turn into a sob as Brook paints Chris a portrait featuring his dead dog.
Bec has also organised a night of painting, but she’s decided to paint nice words rather than any of her husband’s traumas.
Danny is blindfolded while she writes things like “adore” and “handsome”. When she shows him, he gets a little emotional.

Heat, heartbreak and hard passes.
He writes “forever” on her leg, she’s bloody stoked and I am deeply impressed we got through that entire thing without any typos!
After shopping for sexy outfits with Gia, Rebecca’s returned to show Steve.
There’s just a small problem: Steve doesn’t want to see them.
EXCLUSIVE: MAFS Dinner Party spin-off will see ‘two big personalities’ reunite
While he’s trying to spin this as a conversation that will bring them closer, Rebecca’s confused and questioning whether he’s into her at all.
Thank goodness she didn’t show him the whip!
Back at Julia and Grayson’s, he fears her ultimate fantasy night has actually made them less intimate.
“She uses words like leaning in and getting curious and there’s zero of it,” he complains.
He’s into her and based on Julia’s actions, has no idea if that’s mutual.
“Can you see any kind of future with me?” he asks.
He’s desperate for a straight yes or no but she can’t answer the question without caveats about emotional safety and reading energy.
“I feel like at this point I am wasting my time. Absolutely wasting my time,” he says.
Oh goodness.
We’re halfway through Intimacy Week and so far we’ve had … three rejections?
But tomorrow, it’s the groom’s turn to visit Alessandra and I have hope that she can turn it all around!
The teaser even shows Luke actually smiling! You can’t miss that!
