It’s a new week in the Married At First Sight experiment, but the group are still very hung up on last night’s Commitment Ceremony.
The other couples have hope that Dave can “pull his finger out” and make things right with wife Jamie.

To his credit, Dave’s fingers are now right where they need to be – holding a bouquet.
Reflecting, he says the person he was last week was not who he wants to be. He’s got flowers and a plan.
Paul also needs to make things up to Carina after realising his decision to tell Awhina that Carina had made a rude comment about her twin sister had broken his wife’s trust.
She’s willing to just move forward and focus on their future… including an exciting plane trip back home to Perth.
It’s Homestays Week!
Yes, this week they’ll be spending time with family, imagining what their lives could look like in the future and possibly redecorating their husband’s place to hide his samurai sword collection, if Jacqui has anything to do with it.
But first, she will see if Ryan can blend into her life in Manly – even if he doesn’t have any blue clothes or a croquet set.
But while some couples jump on planes and others uh… cross the Harbour Bridge, Jamie and Dave haven’t even left Sydney yet.
He and his bouquets check in on a still-guarded Jamie, confirming he wants to stay and fight for them despite her trust being broken.
Both Jamie and Dave live in Melbourne but she’s not sure she wants to go and blend their lives together just yet.
“My feels are in a box somewhere right now,” she explains.Play Video

In Perth, Awhina gives Adrian the grand tour.
They’ve got mixed feelings about this week, mostly because it means a reunion between Adrian and Cleo for the first time since their disastrous Family and Friends Week lunch.
Adrian is confident it will be fine, as long as Cleo apologises to him. Awhina – and presumably everyone else – thinks he is dreaming.
“Unless I’m delusional here and I’m completely in the wrong…” he begins to explain.

We’re spending a lot of time in Western Australia this week, as Carina and Paul check-in to Carina’s family hotel, we mean home… which is, quite frankly, INSANE.
It’s lucky the house is large. They’re not married in the eyes of the Catholic church, which means Paul needs his own room.

Back in Sydney, Jacqui welcomes Ryan to her Manly home.
His hopes for a fun, light-hearted week last all of two minutes, as Jacqui declares they’re “not in a banter place”.
She says his beard is “not manly”, which is mean, but also deserves props for being an absolutely incredible pun.
She threatens to shave it off and he threatens a divorce, which unsurprisingly spirals into an argument about masculinity, compromise and his alleged “small brain”.
“Jacqui is the most difficult person I have ever tried to date in my life,” he says.
Later, they sit in silence in her backyard.
Soon they break it with more arguing. This time, it’s at least something fresh – whether Jacqui has a “victim mentality” or not.

At Carina’s family home, Paul is waking up refreshed after sleeping in a room with his new friend Jesus.
It’s family lunch time, which means the return of Carina’s iconic aunt Maria. What inappropriate questions will she ask this time?!
The topic of lunch conversation quickly turns to grilling Paul about his thoughts on religion. He says he’s open-minded and is willing to consider it if it’ll help him be more welcome in Carina’s family.
With that out the way, can Maria please say something outrageous?Play Video

On the other side of Perth, it’s time for the face-off we’ve all been waiting for.
Awhina and Adrian meet her mum and sister for lunch and it’s… awkward. As Awhina explains that they’re in a good place right now, Cleo silently sips from her drink.
Then she says it feels like “this is a fake relationship”.
She asks if Adrian would move to Perth, and he immediately fires back “is she willing to move to Sydney?”
It turns out they don’t really know how living on opposite sides of the country will work long term, but… “what’s supposed to be will always be,” Adrian says.
Now that’s reassuring.
His wise words have absolutely zero impact on Cleo.Play Video

EXCLUSIVE: Watch Evelyn and Duncan’s jaw-dropping reactions as Dave backflips on his marriage to Jamie
She ushers her mum and sister away so she can have a private chat with him, with the most incredible fake smile we’ve seen all season.
They rehash who was in the wrong at their last lunch and whether Awhina was crying or not before it.
And Adrian begins to realise he’s probably not getting that apology he wanted.
“Me and Fee [Awhina] look at life as a book, we both read, and I’m looking at you as a chapter in her life. I just don’t see you as the ending,” Cleo says.
In Manly, Jacqui and Ryan have agreed to an armistice on beardgate and want to fix things… by buying flowers.
She’d love for Ryan to pay, but is not convinced he will.
When it comes to pay the bill, they stand in awkward silence for an eternity. Then Ryan taps his card.
“You don’t need to pay for it, it’s okay,” Jacqui lies.
But he insists, and she gives him a cuddle and then starts crying. Right there. In the florist as the cashier awkwardly waits for the payment to approve.
Jamie and Dave have made it to Melbourne, but they are staying separately at their own places.

Jamie is unsure if she will go ahead with Homestays Week
They’ve agreed to meet up at her local Greek restaurant, where they’ll be joined by Jamie’s sister, Georgia.
She knows exactly what’s been going on and is ready to figure out if Dave is bulls–ting or not.
“Are you falling in love with Jamie?” she asks right out the gate.
Dave says he’s not at the moment, but he cares about her and is looking forward to bringing their lives together outside of the experiment.
EXCLUSIVE: Jamie reveals why she wrote ‘stay’ despite vowing to leave
Despite not having a “love connection” right now, Dave insists “I want to get there”.
Georgia says this is “f–king grim”. She reckons Dave just can’t face the fact that he is not interested in Jamie, romantically.
But Dave says Jamie brings out the best in him and he doesn’t want to give it up now. He’s determined to try.
Georgia has she’s seen Jamie put in more effort in past relationships with emotionally unavailable men and thinks this is in line with that pattern.Play Video
Jamie’s sister Georgia delivers some hard truths
With her rose-coloured glasses officially off, Jamie admits she is now questioning everything.
Tomorrow night, Homestays continues – with future plans, protective fathers and most importantly, a close look at Ryan’s decor choices. You won’t want to miss it!
