Recap | Married at First Sight Season 12 Episode 27 – the latest episode recap on TV Central from Channel 9. Watch the show on 9Now.

It’s another day of Feedback Week, but I’m just glad Jamie and Adrian made it through the night.

Their sleep was disturbed by loud creaking noises, and they’re both in agreement that the only logical explanation is demons.

While Jamie prepares to burn some sage, back at her usual apartments things are positively heavenly between Veronica and Dave.

They’re getting on extremely well, but Dave says Feedback Week has also given him time to think about his actual marriage after Jamie said the L word.

He’s feeling a lot of pressure now, as his feelings don’t move that quick.

But do you know what does? Daily runner Jacqui, who has roped Jeff into her morning routine of star jumps and toe touches.Play Video

Jacqui soaks up the last of her time with Jeff

Safe to say she’s very content with her swap, which cannot be said for Beth and Ryan.

EXCLUSIVE: MAFS’ Beth reveals the discovery in Ryan’s apartment that tipped her over the edge

Occasionally, they draw themselves away from their phones or absurdly large bowl of beige snacks for a bout of small talk.

“You buy Jacqui a lot of flowers, it looks like,” she says.

“It’s half and half,” he replies.

“Oh does she buy you flowers?”

“No, she buys herself flowers,” he says.

As Feedback Week continues, it’s time for more honesty letters and yes, even Adrian is seen with a pen this time!

Jamie is nervous to read hers because she knows it is something Dave feels uncomfortable talking about.

MAFS EP 26 RECAP: A secret history between two participants is revealed as the couples swap partners for Feedback Week

She says that she’s always the one to initiate intimacy, which confuses her.

Adrian’s response is brutal.

He thinks Dave is either attempting to keep her at arms length or is simply not attracted to her.

Jamie respects the honesty but is now spiralling a little, having never considered the second point.

Across town, Veronica and Dave bond over drinks and Veronica being her true, giggly self.

Veronica thinks Dave is a model example of the type of man she’s after because they can laugh together and he even looks at her when she enters a room.Play Video

Veronica admits Dave is ‘ticking a lot of boxes’

Next, Jamie and Adrian do the hard-hitting questions task. She asks if he thinks she and Dave will last beyond the experiment and Adrian… well, you already know he is very honest.

“No,” he says. It’s not that he questions their connection, but thinks they are just too different and Dave is holding back.Play Video

Finally, the Couples Swap comes to a close and Beth is quite literally ready to race out the door.

With her gone, Ryan might be able to enjoy some alone time because Jacqui is taking her sweet, sweet time checking out of Hotel Jeff.

EXCLUSIVE: MAFS’ Jeff opens up about his rocky past and the ‘pressure’ to have kids in unseen audition tape

Soon, it’s time for sweet reunions and juicy debriefs – and a surprise twist, duh.

They now must read their honesty letters to their actual partners.

No one is more worried than Awhina and Paul. Awhina for Paul. And Paul for himself.

When you realise snobgate is about to be exposed. (Nine)

After many nervous giggles and stalling, he begins.

Carina is visibly shook by the contents.

He repeats her comment about Cleo and then cleverly omits his use of the word ‘snob’.

Well, it was clever until he forgets to take his letter with him when he leaves the room.

ROOKIE MOVE. (Nine)

A producer asks Paul if he left anything at all out of his re-read.

Oh no, not at all! What do you mean? What a silly question! (Nine)

But it’s too late.

The snobby cat is out of the bag.Play Video

Meanwhile, Jeff is so pleased to have Rhi home that he creates a jingle.

In his letter he opens up about his desire to find his forever person, and Rhi assures him she feels the same and right now, has no doubts about them moving their relationship into the real world.

Cute!

Jeff has less faith in Jacqui and Ryan’s prospects after her “cooked” letter, which, conveniently, she’s about to read out right now!

“Dear Ryan, my biggest fear is marrying a man who ends up stubborn and stuck in his old ways and beliefs as the world moves on,” she begins.

MAFS 2025 Ryan and Jacqui
Buckle up, there’s two more whole pages! (Nine)

She is worried his identity hinges on outdated beliefs of masculinity and that he has a fragile ego.

Hilariously, he scoffs at “fragile”.

MAFS 2025 Ryan
The exact moment Ryan remembered Jacqui also read this out at Hotel Jeff. (Nine)

She’s also not convinced he has “enough financial skills” to contribute as much financially as she does, but is also not be willing to let her be the breadwinner.

“What if I end up in a coma? Who’s going to look after our kids?” Jacqui pulls from nowhere.

He’s genuinely offended at the idea of being a stay-at-home dad and begins to hyperfixate on that, rather than the other stuff about… what was it again? Outdated beliefs of masculinity? Ah, right.

“It’s insulting to think that I would even consider that,” he huffs.Play Video

Ryan voices his concerns about being a stay-at-home dad

While Ryan fumes, Eliot is full of hope after receiving advice from Rhi about his marriage to Veronica.

He wants to try to work on it for all of five minutes, which as long as it takes for her to start reading her honesty letter.

It is all about how bloody great Dave is.

Afterwards, they argue about the definition of attentiveness, which in her mind includes Dave giving her cheese and washing up after her.

“So like a restaurant experience?” Eliot replies.

MAFS 2025 Veronica
She didn’t like that. (Nine)

Veronica says that is an interesting choice of words and OH NO THIS IS GOING DOWNHILL SO FAST.

“Do you think that it’s appropriate that you’re patronising me, Eliot?” she asks. Twice.

He laughs. She yells about him being beneath her before storming out the room.

“And the Oscar goes to… Veronica!!!” he reacts with a slow clap.Play Video

An explosive argument erupts as Veronica and Eliot reunite after the Partner Swap

After Adrian planted some major doubts in Jamie’s mind, she’s worried about Dave receiving her honestly letter.

And for good reason, it seems.

He is confronted by her questioning his feelings but doesn’t do much that would stop her doing just that.

MAFS 2025 Dave
Disassociating Dave. (Nine)

Later, she asks for more reassurance and at first it is many more circular conversations.

“You said you loved me six weeks into this. I’m not there. I’m not there,” he admits.

EXCLUSIVE: MAFS groom Dave reveals reason for recent break-up in unseen audition tape: ‘I can’t keep up’

Jamie then hits him with this question: “Are we having a lack of sex because we’re not in the love stage? Yes or no.”

After taking a moment to ponder, he says one word that confirmed her worst fears: “Yes.”

It’s a devastating blow, and Jamie walks out feeling utterly heartbroken.Play Video

Dave admits his feelings for Jamie ‘aren’t there yet’

Carina also confronts Paul about calling her a “snob” but being too chicken to say it aloud.

Suddenly, our bilingual Frenchman is slightly less bilingual.

“I wasn’t 100 per cent sure of the exact meaning of snob, but I just knew it was a bit of a strong word,” he claims.

Carina says she shouldn’t have made a negative comment about Cleo.

This makes Paul feel better and although it’s now water under the bridge in his mind, Carina is still clearly apprehensive about him airing it to Awhina.Play Video

Carina demands answers from Paul

And just like that, Feedback Week draws to a close – and it’s left the group with A LOT to hash out.

We’ll see it all go down at tomorrow night’s Dinner Party. See you there!

Married At First Sight airs Sunday at 7pm and Monday to Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
