Married at First Sight on Channel 9 – Everybody grab a box of tissues because there’s going to be a lot of tears at this week’s Married At First Sight Commitment Ceremony.

Will they be tears of joy or tears of sadness? Who knows at this point?

Stream every episode of Married At First Sight for free on 9Now.

Ahead of the Commitment Ceremony, Tori and Jack are shedding tears of boredom because they are tired of the same old questions about their relationship.

“In an ideal world I want to sit on the couch, I want the [experts] to be like, ‘Last night you said your piece, good for you guys, now stay or leave?’ That would be ideal’,” Tori paints the picture of her dream couch session with the experts.

Do we think that’s likely to happen? Fat chance.

But something we didn’t think there’d be a high chance of is Eden and Jayden on the brink of a break-up. But here they are.

After Eden shared a rumour with Jayden that Sara and her ex had apparently been mocking Tim, Jayden feels it is his God-given right to behold the truth to Tim and the group.

But riddled with anxiety, Eden just wants Jayden to zip his lips and has given him this ultimatum: “if you tell that story, I’m done with you and I’m leaving”.

Those are some pretty high stakes. Let’s see how this all comes out in the wash…

Sara and Tim

After the nightmare couch session that Tim endured last week because of Sara’s “emotional cheating betrayal”, this one should be a piece of cake.

And for the most part it is, Tim has been opening to forgiving Sara and has seen “a very different side” to his bride.

It’s all smiles and butterflies and daisies for the couple who seem to have made a drastic comeback…that is until Jayden pipes up.

“We see right through her fake act pretending to like Tim when she doesn’t like him at all. She just wants to save her image and she’s made that very clear through her actions and her words,” Jayden interrupts Sara.

Jayden goes a step further and relays the rumour that Eden specifically told him not to mention.

While Jayden thinks he’s putting Sara on show, his plan backfires spectacularly.

Somehow, Sara and Tim’s couch session becomes about Eden and Jayden’s relationship as the pair begin to quarrel about this ‘Sara and the ex making fun of Tim’ rumour.

Eden says she “doesn’t have the full details” of what happened to which Jayden claps back, “If you don’t have the full details it’s probably not worth bringing up and telling me.”

Jayden keeps pushing the matter but Eden cries that she just “doesn’t want to be involved anymore”.

Despite Jayden’s (very vocal) doubts about Sara’s intentions, the rest of the group is convinced that she is changing and making the effort required.

And most importantly, Tim is convinced too.

Lucinda and Timothy

Like the rest of us, the experts just want to relive that “shock kiss” between Lucinda and Timothy at last night’s Dinner Party.

Timothy is feeling a bit bashful about the whole thing but he says “it felt right”.

Timothy thanks Lucinda for being “patient as hell” and says he’s finally ready to start being vulnerable and after being closed off to letting people in for most of his life.

After all they’ve been through, Lucinda and Timothy say they have nothing but “admiration” for one another.

And on that note, expert Alessandra Rampolla drops this little nugget of information: “You do know admiration is the gateway to love?”

We didn’t know that but we’re sure as hell hoping Lucinda and Timothy are on the fast track to that gate!

Lauren and Jono (or just Jono)

With Lauren still temporarily missing from the experiment due to her surgery, Jono is facing the experts as a lone wolf.

He’s happy to report Lauren’s surgery was a success, they’ve been keeping in touch everyday and have made a list of restaurants to try together when Lauren returns. Awww.

It really has been a case of distance making the heart grow fonder.

Cassandra and Tristan

This time last week, Cassandra and Tristan were on very different pages. Cassandra had written ‘leave’ while Tristan had confessed he was “in love” with Cassandra.

This week they are very much on the same page, but don’t get your hopes up, it’s not what you think.

After spending the week reflecting on their relationship, Cassandra and Tristan are “ready to accept [they] are just going to be friends”.

EXCLUSIVE: Tristan on discovering the silver lining in his emotional split from Cassandra

Cassandra and Tristan both write ‘leave’ but this might just be the sweetest break-up in the history of the world.

“The next woman to be with you will be the luckiest in the world,” Cassandra tells Tristan.

Now for Tristan’s turn. “To my ex-wife Cass, I am the luckiest dude to get matched with you. You have been patient, kind, you have listened but overall you are genuine and you mean everything to me.”

We told you you’d be needing those tissues.

Eden and Jayden

The pair didn’t exactly seem to be in a great spot with each other while they were bickering on the lounge earlier and Jayden explains that he feels that he’s been “copping the brunt” of the pressure Eden feels.

Jayden retells the ultimatum that Eden gave him. “I didn’t feel right lying and she basically blew up at me and said, ‘If you don’t say what I tell you to say I’m done with you and I’m leaving you.'”

Jayden begins to break down as he explains there’s more cracks in his and Eden’s relationship.

“All the things I do for you, it’s materialistic stuff, but flowers five times a week, I made a dog into a pillow because she was missing her dog, taking her out for dinner every weekend, writing her lists of things I like about her…”

“Then the other day because I wouldn’t do one thing you blew up at me and said, ‘Why don’t you do something nice for me for once in your life!?'”

Everyone is in tears the other brides and grooms are “heartbroken”, Eden is apologising profusely saying she knows “it was uncalled for and not deserved”.

But it seems Eden’s apology mightn’t be enough as Jayden says, “I don’t know if Eden is everything that I thought.”

In an odd twist expert John Aiken says it “pleases him immensely” that Eden and Jayden are upset. WAIT, “…because it means you care about each other”. Oh, that makes much more sense.

At a real crossroads in their relationship, Eden and Jayden both decide to stick it out for another week but they have a lot of work to do.

Jade and Ridge

While Eden and Jade are at a crossroads, Jade and Ridge are sitting in the same lane of the express motorway.

They are taking huge leaps in their relationship. When Ridge met Jade’s daughter, he even packed her a school lunch with a little note that said ‘Have a great day, R’.

And that was enough to make Jade write a little note of her own, ‘STAY x’.

Tori and Jack

Expert John Aiken has one goal, and one goal only tonight – to find out how Jack really feels about Tori.

Jack says he feels “good” but that’s not good enough for our John. “We’ve spent far too long in this experiment for words like good, OK, not bad. I need real responses from you,” John pushes.

Jack thinks this next answer should suffice: “I’m actually sleeping really well”. And we don’t think anyone has ever equated their feelings for a partner to the quality of sleep they’re getting.

One more try Jackie boy, you’ve got this.

“Yeah, I like you a lot,” he huffs.

NO JACK! That is incorrect. Not the answer we are looking for.

MAFS 2024
John has had enough of Jack’s tomfoolery. (Nine)

Having given up on getting anywhere with Jack, John turns his attention to the revelation Jade made at the most recent Dinner Party – that Jack told her that if he was paired with someone more his type he would’ve slept with them by now. Which he and Tori haven’t.

“Personally if I was in that position, I would feel like my partner didn’t like me,” Jade explains how she would feel in Tori’s shoes.

But Jade isn’t in Tori’s shoes, Tori is. And Tori doesn’t mind that Jack said she wasn’t his type as she says, “fair enough”.

Like us, John Aiken also can’t believe Tori is OK with this. “Tori, are you for real?” he questions.

Tori is for real. She says she “feels safe and secure” and there is absolutely no changing her mind.

Are Tori and Jack staying? Yes. Are we surprised? No.

Andrea and Richard

This week we saw Andrea and Richard like we’ve never seen them before. There’s been arguments, yelling, smacking hands on tables – but at the centre of it all is that they just can’t see eye to eye.

Richard can’t believe his Andrea’s relationship is in shambles especially considering they started off with such a bang.

EXCLUSIVE: Richard’s unanswered question following emotional split from Andrea

But Andrea reminds him that at the start they didn’t know each other. “It was chemistry, it was lovely and then when we settle into a relationship we get to know each other and there’s things we didn’t like and we were trying to navigate that.”

That dose of reality has left Richard “broken”. “I came here with a skip in my step and it ended in a devastating, shattering way,” he says.

At his core, Richard believes Andrea hasn’t been into him for a long, long time.

MAFS 2024
It’s the end of the road for Andrea and Richard. (Nine)

Andrea and Richard have both agreed it’s time to say goodbye. Andrea is leaving with “such special memories” as is Richard.

“Those ten days that we spent together, I will never forget in my entire life,” Richard sobs.

“What a win if I walk away with that, I’ll take it anyway.”

MAFS 2024
An emotional goodbye for Andrea and Richard. (Nine)

It’s been a heartfelt exit for two of the experiment’s most beloved couples and while we wave goodbye to them, tomorrow we’ll be welcoming Lauren (and her chaos) back home!

And what a time to arrive, because it’s Homestays Week! Will the comfort of home prove to help the couples or will the reality check shatter rose-tinted glasses?

Tune in tomorrow night at 7:30pm!
