An unassuming ex-lawyer, Madeline Matlock (Kathy Bathes) dives back into the working world following the tragic death of her daughter.
Madeline sees being middle-aged as a secret weapon for flying under the radar, and even though she hasn’t practiced law in 30 years, her wily ways gain her a position at a prestigious law firm.
However, it’s the plot twist in the final moments of the premiere episode that will have everyone talking, as Madeline’s personal reason for having such a thirst for justice is revealed.
