Mastermind on SBS and SBS on Demand S7 Special Episodes – To celebrate SBS’s 50th anniversary, Mastermind presents a special event series across four themed nights, each dedicated to a defining SBS genre: sport, world movies, drama/documentary, and food.
Each night, four contenders will compete under the spotlight, answering specialist questions tied to their night’s theme. The General Knowledge round will also feature questions drawn from SBS’s rich 50-year broadcast history.
The winner from each themed episode will progress to the weekly final, where they will face a fast-paced general knowledge round, followed by a “slowburn” segment — a deeper dive into one of the four themes. Each slowburn will be introduced by a notable SBS personality: Ray Martin, Silvia Colloca, Pia Miranda, and Craig Foster.
This is a celebration of SBS’s legacy — told one question at a time.
