August on Optus Sport – We’ve got a massive month of football ahead on Optus Sport, you wouldn’t want to miss it.

A FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ final and the return of the Premier League and LaLiga. August is going to be huge on Optus Sport.

The beginning of the month will see the start of the knockout rounds of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ as we get to the business end of the tournament with plenty of questions still left to be answered.

Can the Matildas keep the dream alive? Will the USA achieve the ‘three-peat’? Can England or Spain claim a first ever FIFA Women’s World Cup™?

We will find out who will be crowned world champions on Sunday, August 20 at Stadium Australia in Sydney and Optus Sport is the only place to watch every game.

A week before that final, domestic football returns with the Premier League kicking off at 5am (AEST) on Saturday, August 12 with newly-promoted Burnley taking on reigning champions Manchester City.

We will also have Aussie Ange Postecoglou’s first game as a Premier League manager as he takes his Tottenham side to face Brentford on August 13 at 11pm (AEST) before taking charge of his first game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against Manchester United.

Over in Spain, LaLiga also kicks off on Saturday, August 12 with Jude Bellingham set to make his Real Madrid bow in a tough start for Los Blancos away at Athletic Club.

Meanwhile, champions Barcelona begin their title defence away to Getafe on August 14 before playing their first home game away from the Camp Nou while it undergoes a full redevelopment.
