Love Me on ABC and ABC iview S2E6 – Glen, Clara and Aaron Mathieson have picked up the pieces of their complex lives following Christine’s death and are each grappling with a new reality that poses the challenging question – is love enough?
Glen and Anita are faced with the arrival of someone from her past who will threaten their current happiness and security; Clara must come to terms with becoming a step parent to Peter’s son as well as the very real prospect that her hopes of having a family of her own may never be realised; and Aaron’s attempts to juggle fatherhood, Ella and his love for Jesse send him into a spiral of self doubt and erratic behaviour.
Together, however, the Mathiesons will weather the storm of uncertainty as they always do, with humour, misunderstandings, humility, champagne and of course… a deep and bonding love.
Episode 6
Clara and Peter embark on their quest to have a child, there’s a long road ahead, but at least they’re in it together.
At the family home, Glen begins to clear out a life-time of belongings. Going through boxes of old photos and cleaning up the house, the memories come flooding back.
Aaron returns to the office for the first time since his Sorrento escape and dalliance with Amy trying to figure out who knows what and where he stands.
Aaron and Ella fight about juggling work and Lola. Then, after some words of advice from Glen, Aaron finds calm in the love he has for Lola.
Peter and Clara wake up knowing that they’re on the path to a family. But their hope is soon shattered, when Clara receives the disappointing news that it didn’t work.
As the family home goes to auction, they watch from afar – struggling to let go of the past and accept the future. Later at a gathering to farewell the place, Clara makes a speech reflecting on her mum’s advice and formalises her love for Peter.
While Clara and Peter wrap themselves up in their bubble of love, Aaron truly bonds with Lola and Glen leaves the house alone. And just like that, they all close the door on one part of their lives and open the door to a new outlook and new opportunities.
