Together, however, the Mathiesons will weather the storm of uncertainty as they always do, with humour, misunderstandings, humility, champagne and of course… a deep and bonding love.
Episode 1
As Aaron tries to find his way through his new role as a father and co-parent, Glen and he go shopping for baby gear. Across town, Peter tells Clara that Max wants her to meet his mother – and Peter’s ex – Julia.
After the fertility news Clara and Peter received, Clara is keen to make a follow up appointment to see the specialist, but Peter isn’t in a hurry. More than that, he’s increasingly distant.
At the family house, Glen assembles the change table for baby Lola. He confesses to Aaron that he always thought becoming a grandmother would soften Christine. Her absence still looms for them all.
After visiting Lola, Clara, and Peter rush home to find Julia waiting for them. At first, dinner with Julia goes well, but after mentioning they want to start a family and that Peter is having fertility trouble, he announces he wants Max to have a DNA test. Outraged and hurt, Julia storms out.
In the city Aaron joins Jesse and her friends at a bar. They’re happy and in love.
Glen waits for Anita after her drawing class only to find out that she never showed up. Anxious and unnerved he tries calling her. When Anita eventually comes home, Glen asks her about art class. Anita talks about the class as if she attended, complains that she’s tired and goes to bed.
The mysterious phone calls, the distance and now Anita has lied about where she’s been. What’s going on?
