Earth on ABC – GREEN – From a barren rock into a vibrant green world, how plant life transformed the planet.
We often think that it’s ice, fire or other elements that have forged and transformed the earth, but there is a force that has been just as powerful in changing Earth’s fate – plants.
This is the story of how Earth’s land was transformed from an inhospitable barren rock to a verdant green paradise. A story of invasion, as life leaves the protection of the water to feed on the very fabric of the Earth, creating soil, a benevolent atmosphere and giving rise to new landscapes. Making unlikely allies and changing the land from an alien world to the green planet we know today.
