Call the Midwife on ABC and ABC iview S13E3 and S13E4 – It’s 1969. More babies than ever are being born in hospital and pressure on maternity beds is high.
Model Gillian Baxter is something of a star in Poplar. Since becoming pregnant, Gillian has been signed up to model once more, and there are plans already inplace for her newborn to follow in her footsteps, but when her newborn baby is diagnosed with a birth defect, Gillian doesn’t take the news well.
Meanwhile, everyone is giddy with nervous excitement about Apollo 11’s imminent landing on the moon. The whole community wishes to mark thiss pecial occasion, and there is a public showing of the landing outside, using the Nonnatus House television set.
