Howard and Sarah have tackled ambitious builds for 30 years, but their latest is the boldest yet: a sleek, metallic floating home on a tidal estuary near Worthing.
Designed to resemble a boat within an eclectic houseboat community, it will rest on an experimental prefabricated polystyrene slab able to withstand shifting tides and mud.
With £385k, 18 months, DIY construction, a removed D-Day craft, and tidal disruptions, the project is fraught with challenges.
