Tonight | Cooper and Fry on ABC digs into a missing girl mystery – Cooper and Fry on ABC moves into a tense double episode as the detectives take on a case shaped by grief, privilege and local fear.

Episodes 3 and 4 of the eight-part series screen on Saturday 11 July. The story begins on the anniversary of Cooper’s father’s unsolved murder. That date weighs on Cooper as he and Fry investigate the disappearance of teenage girl Laura Kirkham.

Laura is found in the woods within the Kirkham estate. Soon, suspicion surrounds the wealthy family at the centre of the property. However, the investigation also turns toward disgruntled employees, old tensions and people with reasons to hide the truth.

The case also carries a darker local edge. Rumours about the mysterious Black Dog begin to spread through the community. Then, when a key suspect dies in a hit and run, Cooper and Fry are left with a tangled web of lies to solve.

At the same time, the pressure becomes personal. Ben is forced to face his own past as the investigation stirs painful memories. Meanwhile, Fry’s fears grow when her stalker makes it clear that she is no longer safe in her own home.

For viewers following the crime drama, Cooper and Fry on ABC looks set to deepen both the mystery and the character stakes. The double episode brings together a missing girl, an old murder, a powerful estate and a threat that reaches beyond the case.
