Alan purchases a dilapidated 17th century house with a medieval watchtower in the rural hamlet of Fornovolasco and brings Amanda in for another summer renovation.
The new season keeps the appeal of the format simple: a picturesque Italian setting, a cheap old property and the reality of an enormous restoration job.
When Amanda and Alan arrive, they find the house has been empty since the previous owner died, with damp, rotten floors and cracked windows waiting for them.
