The ABC Gives appeal launches today, Thursday 17 November, with the online donation website live and remaining open until New Year’s Eve.

Donations can be made here: https://www.abc.net.au/gives

The ABC has a proud track record of supporting communities in times of need and connecting audiences to causes that matter.

Following what has been another difficult year for many, ABC Radio teams across the country are partnering with several charities to support those who need a helping hand in the lead-up to the festive season. And we need your help!

As living costs rise, access to necessities can become out of reach for some parts of our community. Donations – no matter how big or small – will support vulnerable communities and will help us spread some joy during the holiday season.

Listeners can support their local community by donating to their state’s chosen charity. All funds raised will go directly to charity partners in each state and territory. Charities participating in this year’s appeal are:

ACT – Oz Harvest

NSW – Oz Harvest

VIC – The Smith Family

NT – Foodbank

SA – Foodbank

QLD – Foodbank

WA – Foodbank

TAS – The Giving Tree Appeal

Off the back of the success of the 2021 ABC Gives campaign, which raised $1.7million, ABC is once again uniting on a ‘Day of Giving’. Six ABC capital city stations and 48 regional bureaux will be presenting dedicated coverage with fundraising taking place on Tuesday November 29, inspiring Australians to give back to organisations making a difference.

ABC Perth and WA will be holding their dedicated ‘Day of Giving’ on November 24 and Tasmania will follow on December 7.

Brighten your community.  Donate now!
