ABC 2027 Upfront: Andy Lee’s Do Not Watch This Show returns for season 3 — Wizz will once again try to stop audiences from watching when the animated family comedy returns to ABC TV and ABC iview in 2027.
The ABC announced the renewal alongside Screen Australia and VicScreen, confirming that Andy Lee will return as the voice of the rule-breaking blue monster.
Do Not Watch This Show season 3 joins the broadcaster’s wider ABC 2027 Upfront slate. An exact premiere date has not yet been announced.
Do Not Watch This Show becomes a family hit
The series is adapted from Lee’s children’s book Do Not Open This Book. It follows Wizz, who refuses to accept that he is the star of his own programme and goes to increasingly extreme lengths to persuade children to switch off.
According to the ABC, the premiere episodes of seasons one and two each helped the series reach average audiences of more than two million. The comedy has also expanded internationally, introducing Wizz and his efforts to derail the show to families outside Australia.
Lee said Wizz was unimpressed by the prospect of another season.

Do Not Watch This Show season 3 is a Lee Bones production for the ABC. The ABC and Screen Australia provide the major production investment in association with VicScreen.
Lee Bones Distribution handles the programme’s local distribution, while 9Story is responsible for international distribution. Screen Queensland supports post-production, digital work and visual effects.
When will Do Not Watch This Show season 3 air?
The third season will premiere on ABC TV and ABC iview during 2027. The ABC has not confirmed an exact launch date, episode count or release schedule.
