SAS: AUS v ENG on Channel 7 S6E6 – In this episode, the DS crank up the pressure to expose one defining quality: control. The celebrity recruits are pushed straight into a punishing mountain ascent, scrambling up a jagged pass under the unforgiving heat. But the real test waits at the summit.

Here, the DS order them to traverse two thin wires stretched 165 feet above the canyon floor. With only balance and nerve to rely on, every step is a battle to maintain control. Few make it across unscathed. One recruit’s control shatters entirely, triggering a raw emotional breakdown that draws immediate DS intervention and a second round in the interrogation room.

There’s no respite. As the recruits gather their breath, Chief Instructor Billy introduces them to a solemn Special Forces ritual: the death letter. Instructed to write a final message to their loved ones, they confront the terrifying reality of what it means to operate on the frontline. But reflection is short-lived.

The DS drag them into one of the most violent tasks on the course – hand-to-hand combat with the Redman. Here, control and aggression collide.

Recruits must switch on controlled fury, unleashing everything they have while maintaining absolute focus. Some surprise even themselves; others lose control the moment pressure hits. Back at base, the DS deliver the day’s most emotionally demanding blow. Billy orders the recruits to read their death letters aloud to one another. Voices tremble and tears fall freely as the dorm falls silent – an unguarded emotional moment that leaves no one untouched.
