Better Homes and Gardens on Channel 7 and 7plus S31E21 – the storylines for this Friday’s episode 21 airing 7pm on Channel 7 and 7plus.
JOHANNA – AT HOME WITH JIMMY REES
Jimmy Rees means a lot of different things to different people. Your kids might know him as ‘Giggle’, from the iconic kids’ TV show, Giggle and Hoot. For others, he’s the comedian who helped us get through the pandemic with his skits on social media. And at home, he’s a proud father of three and husband. However you know him, Jimmy is pretty much guaranteed to make you laugh…and Johanna’s meeting up with him to do just that. Jimmy has a beautiful home in regional Victoria and he’s showing Johanna around and chatting about life on and off the comedy stage.
DR HARRY – DOG DOOR DILEMMA
If you thought your pet pooch was demanding, just wait till you meet Coco! Coco the pug has one strict rule for going outside: her dog door flap must be fully open, no exceptions! She flatly refuses to push the flap open herself, so the family has to get up every time she needs to go out. And with winter here, keeping the flap open 24/7 just isn’t an option. Can Dr Harry figure out why Coco is being so particular?
COLIN – CHICKEN DUMPLINGS & PEARL BARLEY BROTH
If you’re sick and tired of winter, this is your cure. Colin’s making light chicken dumplings with thyme, rosemary, smoked paprika and coriander. Served in a simple chicken broth with pearl barley, it’s the ultimate medicine for the winter blues.
CHARLIE – DALE FRANK REVISIT
When an abstract artist designs a botanical garden, you can expect something a little out of the ordinary. That’s what Dale Frank did 12 years ago, when he started his own private botanical garden on the outskirts of Singleton, in NSW’s Hunter Valley region. With more than 6000 rare and wonderful plants from all over the world on over 20 hectares, this is one giant canvas. Five years ago, Charlie and the Better Homes and Gardens audience were invited on an exclusive tour of the garden – which is rarely open to the public. Charlie has always wondered how the garden has grown and progressed over time, so he’s taking us back for another private tour…and just wait till you see what Dale’s garden looks like now.
ADAM – HOW TO MAKE A CHEAP DOOR LOOK EXPENSIVE
No one likes to be accused of looking cheap…and that includes your door! These days, detailed solid wood doors can be expensive, so Adam’s showing you how to make your standard off-the-shelf door look a little fancier.
MELISSA – INSPIRATION FROM MIFGS: THE BALCONY GARDENS
This year’s Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show wasn’t just about the big show gardens…there was plenty of inspiration for smaller gardens and apartments, too. Melissa’s sharing her favourite balcony gardens from the show and there’s so many ideas here for your balcony, deck or courtyard!
JULIET – ENHANCE & ENTERTAIN
You don’t need to visit a fancy restaurant to feel like you’re dining in one. This week, Juliet’s giving a boring dining room a luxe look, without spending a lot of money. With a dramatic and moody paint colour, plush velvet curtains and touches of brass, this room will be transformed into the hottest new dining space in town.
ADAM – IS YOUR AIRCON COSTING YOU MONEY?
Split system air conditioners are the silent workhorse of your home…until they stop working, usually due to lack of maintenance. But that problem is easily solved, so Adam will show you how to do a routine service on both the exterior and interior units.
