Oscars on Channel 7 and 7plus – Sunrise leads Seven’s live and exclusive coverage of Hollywood’s night of nights
Seven is the exclusive home of the 95th Oscars® in Australia, with live and free coverage across the day, next Monday, 13 March on Channel 7 and 7plus.
It all starts on Sunrise at 5.30am with special guest Sonia Kruger reporting live from the star-studded red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
The Gold Logie-nominated presenter will cross to Sunrise hosts Natalie Barr and David Koch, and then The Morning Show’s Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies throughout the morning, bringing Aussie viewers all the glitz, glamour, celebrity chats and gossip from Hollywood’s night of nights.
Also reporting for Sunrise, The Morning Show and 7NEWS across the day is Seven’s US Bureau Chief, Ashlee Mullany.
The gala Oscars ceremony starts live and exclusive at 11.00am AEDT on Channel 7 and 7plus, with an encore screening at 8.45pm after Australian Idol’s live verdict show.

Jimmy Kimmel returns as host of the Oscars for the first time since 2018, music superstar Rihanna will perform her Oscar-nominated song Lift Me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and GRAMMY®-winning musician Lenny Kravitz will deliver the “In Memoriam” performance. Presenters include Riz Ahmed, Emily Blunt, Glenn Close, Jennifer Connelly, Ariana DeBose, Samuel L. Jackson, Dwayne Johnson, Michael B. Jordan, Troy Kotsur, Jonathan Majors, Melissa McCarthy, Janelle Monáe, Deepika Padukone, Questlove, Zoe Saldaña and Donnie Yen.
Australians secured 10 Oscar nominations this year, including eight-time Academy Award-nominee Cate Blanchett, who is favourite in the Best Actress category for her BAFTA and Golden Globe-winning performance in the psychological drama, Tár.
Director Baz Luhrmann and his four-time Oscar winning wife Catherine Martin are both producers of the Elvis Presley biopic Elvis which is up for eight awards, including Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Costume Design, Best Production Design and Best Cinematography.
Brisbane film student Lachlan Pendragon has been nominated for Best Animated Short Film for An Ostrich Told Me The World Is Fake and I Think I Believe It.
The 10 movies up for Best Picture are: Everything Everywhere All at Once, The Banshees of Inisherin, The Fabelmans, Tár, Top Gun: Maverick, Avatar: The Way of Water, Elvis, All Quiet on the Western Front, Women Talking and Triangle of Sadness.
