Seven welcomes Tom Morris – Award-winning sport broadcaster joins The Agenda Setters, Sunday Afternoon Footy and cricket.
The Seven Network today announced award-winning sport broadcaster Tom Morris will join Seven’s AFL and cricket coverage in 2026.
Having earned a reputation as one of the foremost news-breaking sport reporters in Australian media, Morris will join Seven’s AFL coverage on Sunday afternoons, starting with this weekend’s Melbourne v Brisbane Lions clash at the MCG from 2.30pm AEST live and free on Seven, 7mate and7plus Sport.
Morris will also host Seven’s weekly Wednesday night edition of The Agenda Setters, alongside 7NEWS Chief Football Reporter Mitch Cleary, 7AFL Expert Nick Riewoldt and a rotating fourth guest panellist.
With Seven’s international cricket coverage beginning in August this year, Morris will assume the Chief Cricket Reporter role for the network’s broadcast of the Australia v Bangladesh Series in Darwin and Mackay, from Sunday, 13 August. Morris’ role will also continue for Seven’s Test and Big Bash League coverage for the 2026-27 Summer of Cricket on Seven and 7plus Sport.
Morris said:
“Footy and cricket are my two biggest passions, so to have the opportunity to be part of live match coverage across both is something I dreamed of as a kid, and a big reason why I am joining Seven.
“I have loved The Agenda Setters as a viewer – it genuinely sets the tone for the footy conversation each week.
“To now be part of that show and contribute to those discussions alongside such a strong team both on and off camera is incredibly exciting. Mitch Cleary and I have spent plenty of time on opposite sides of the fence, so to be on the same team and working on stories together will be brilliant. I can’t wait to get started,”
– he said.
Seven will further strengthen its cricket offering this summer, with SEN’s podcast The New Ball, hosted by Morris and fellow cricket reporter Bharat Sundaresan, to be simulcast on 7mate and streamed live on 7plus Sport daily before play of the Australia v New Zealand Test Series, throughout the Summer of Cricket.
Morris is a former Alf Brown recipient, receiving the award for the overall best media performer at the 2023 Australian Football Media Awards for his work breaking the story surrounding Damien Hardwick’s departure from Richmond on SEN.
