Richard Marx: “So impressive. And as rocking as you were, and with all that edge and power, there was so much control.”
Ronan Keating: “Why has it taken so long to get you on The Voice?”
Kate Miller-Heidke: “I thought I’d seen it all last year, but, I mean, holy crap, that was on another level.”
Melanie C: “That was all kinds of awesome. Oh, my goodness. I’m kind of speechless.”
Gemma Hollingsworth, 19, Melbourne VIC – Grew up playing sports. Wanted to be a professional AFL player but her dream was cut short due to a knee injury. Melanie tells her she tore her ACL too and that she has a new knee. When Gemma introduces the coaches to her twin sister who competed in 800-m race in Paris Olympics, Ronan says he used to run 200 and 800m as well and that he was the under-13 Irish champion in the 200m.

Richard: “I really loved the confidence in your voice, so I felt like, okay, that’s somebody who is going to step up to the plate with whatever song I might suggest.”
Melanie: “I really enjoyed that performance. I love the rasp in your voice. And you could hear that confidence. And I think when the artist is confident, you know, you kind of relax and you can really enjoy it too.”
Ronan: “You’ve got individuality. You’re unique. When you turn on the radio, you’re going to know that’s Jimmy, and I’m going to make that happen.”
Kate: “That cover version to me sounds like a radio single. Sounds like a hit.”
