Coaches comments:

Kate: “Extraordinarily courageous of you to get up and do that song. You had the courage to be yourself. I feel that’s the mark of a true artist.”

Richard: “For you to be 19 and say, yeah, I’m going to sing that song. That’s exciting to me because you’re going to be fearless and take all kinds of chances. And if you’re brave enough to tackle that song and nail it that way, then then you’re going to be a real force to be reckoned with.”

Thr3pm, Perth, WA – Boyband from WA.

Song: You don’t treat me no good by Sonia Dada

Chair turns: One (Richard)

Coaches comments:

Richard: “You guys were fun. Your pocket, your rhythmic pocket was really dead on. And I loved that. I could sort of hear not only a really great blend, but individual singers who I would love to work with.”

Chris Cobb, 35, Sunshine Coast QLD – Chris has a special connection Ronan, Ronan’s wife Storm and Chris’ wife are cousins. Ronan introduces Chris to everyone. Coaches are stunned when Ronan’s reveals the connection. At first, they didn’t believe a word Ronan was saying coz they thought he was trying to force create a connection as his wife’s family from Papua New Guinea so he could have Chris on his team.

Song: When the war is over by Cold Chisel

Chair turns: Four

Team: Ronan

Coaches comments:

Kate: “So many great voices have sung that song. But what I loved is that you really made it your own. And you didn’t push too hard. There was this beautiful intimacy about your delivery.”

Richard: “I hold a certain benchmark to that song, the way John Farnham sang it. I was thinking, oh, boy, this guy’s got his work cut out for him. And you crushed it. You absolutely crushed.”

Ronan: “I’m a fan of your voice. You’ve got a gorgeous tone in your voice, I love it. I don’t know what to do here. This is crazy because I feel, you know, if you go anywhere else, I’m going to be so hurt.”

**Richard mentions he could block Ronan but he wouldn’t do that as he wanted it to be Chris’ decision only.
