Recap | The Voice Australia on Channel 7 and 7plus S14E14 – Shock and showdowns. Team Kate and Team Ronan find their Semi-Finalists.
Tonight on Seven and 7plus, emotions ran high as Kate Miller-Heidke and Ronan Keating’s top six artists competed for a spot in The Voice Semi-Final during the toughest stage of the competition so far: The Knockouts.
Grouped in trios to compete in two Knockouts per team, the artists performed solo songs centred around a theme, with only two winners from each progressing. The victorious artists then faced off in a sudden-death Showdown, performing a song of their choice to secure one of the two coveted Semi-Final spots per team.
On Team Kate, young guns Alyssa Delpopolo, Sienna Langenheim, Charlie O’Derry and James Van Cooper triumphed in their Knockouts. In the Showdown, they delivered show-stopping performances of Hopelessly Devoted by Olivia Newton-John, Angles Like You by Miley Cyrus, You Are The Reason by Callum Scott and Takes Me Back by Noiseworks.

Alyssa and Sienna clinched the spots in the Semi-Final, while Charlie and James were sent home.
Over on Team Ronan, the first Knockout saw soul singers Cle Morgan, Ellaphon Ta and Mitchell Dormer deliver standout performances, leaving Ronan torn: “I can’t choose. I don’t know how I’d choose two.” In a surprise move, he advanced all three to the Showdown, leaving just one spot open.
From Team Ronan’s second Knockout, Milly Monk joined the Showdown lineup alongside Cle, Ellaphon and Mitchell. In the end, Cle and Ellaphon secured Semi-Final spots with moving renditions of Giant by Calvin Harris and Rag’n’Bone Man, and I Can’t Make You Love Me by Bonnie Raitt.
Tonight’s eliminated artists included Amber Scates, Charlie O’Derry, James Van Cooper and Jayd Luna from Team Kate, and Hunter Black, Milly Monk, Mitchell Dormer and Tiffney Reynolds from Team Ronan.
