Tonight on Seven and 7plus, three new couples took a once-in-a-lifetime leap in Stranded On Honeymoon Island.
The chemistry continued to spark for last night’s newlyweds Georgia and Chad, and Brie and Byron; while tension simmered between Amy and Mike.
Emily, 28 and single for seven years, was matched with Tom, 29. Tearfully, she shared: “I’m constantly getting ghosted. No matter what I try and do, I always end up single and alone.”
Tom admitted he can be a “closed book” and hoped to find someone who could break down his walls. Emily was instantly attracted to her “dream guy,” but Tom didn’t feel the spark and her attempts at flirting were met with distance.
Tom acknowledged this would be the time he’d usually cut things off and run, but there’s nowhere to hide on honeymoon island.
Triggered by past experiences, Emily resolved not to give up as Tom offered a glimmer of hope, asserting he wanted to break his pattern of running away.
Dani, 35 and ready to settle down, was paired with Emanuel, 33, who’s tired of superficial relationships. While Dani was thrilled with her “super-hot” husband, Emanuel didn’t remember her from speed dating.
A wild storm shut down conversation, but the next day, their bond grew. “We have a very similar outlook on life,” Emanuel said. “I’m starting to see why we’ve been stranded on this island together.”
Jess, a 38-year-old relationship coach who struggles to follow her own advice, married Sam, 31, who arrived “the best version of himself” after a three-month detox from alcohol, partying, and sex.
“Finding chemistry is easy, but falling in love is hard,” Jess admitted. Swept up in immediate attraction, they shared a passionate kiss after their vows, and the affection flowed from there.
Despite their physical connection, Sam asked to slow things down, leaving Jess confused and worried he was losing interest.
Later, a heartfelt message from Sam’s mum left him emotional, reflecting on the loss of his father.
Reassured, Jess said: “I know chemistry fades. I came here to build a strong foundation.”
Meanwhile, Amy and Mike tried to reset after their confrontation.
Amy stood her ground, glad she spoke up. Mike, hurt, said he’d never been called a misogynist before. “I’m all good to take accountability for stuff I’ve done if it made her feel bad,” he said, insisting he was just trying to be chivalrous.
With strong personalities, Mike admitted that their dynamic is tough.
The next day, the honeymooners received their first invite to meet at Couples Cove. Emily dropped a bombshell: she’d matched with Mike on a dating app and blocked him after “very vulgar comments.”
“When I saw him at speed dating, it blew my mind” she said. “Fingers crossed he’s not at Couples Cove. He’s just icky, and I don’t want him there.”
Emily vowed that if Mike showed up, she wouldn’t hesitate to tell his wife about her experience.
