The suspenseful drama follows Karl Alberg, a seasoned detective who relocates to the quiet coastal town in search of solace after the emotional toll of his high-pressure career in the city.
Karl’s hope for peace is shattered when a series of chilling murders disturb the tranquillity of the town. As the stakes rise, he must rely on his world-class investigative skills to solve the crimes, all while navigating his relationship with Cassandra: a local librarian who becomes both his intellectual partner and romantic interest. As the investigation deepens, the line between Karl’s professional and personal worlds becomes increasingly blurred.
Based on the Edgar-Award-wining Karl Alberg book series by L.R. Wright, Murder in a Small Town is created for television by Ian Weir.
It stars Rossif Sutherland (Reign and The Handmaid’s Tale) as Karl Alberg, alongside Kristin Kreuk (Smallville and Beauty & the Beast) as Cassandra Lee.
