Magic Millions on Channel 7 – Magic Millions set to dazzle on Seven. Live and free on Seven and 7plus this Saturday.

Australia’s glittering Magic Millions Raceday will take centre stage on the Seven Network this Saturday, 13 January for summer racing’s richest day, with all the live and free thoroughbred racing action and trackside glamour from the Gold Coast Turf Club.

The live coverage begins at 12.00pm AEDT on Channel 7, 7two and 7plus and will be anchored by Australia’s pre-eminent sport broadcaster Bruce McAvaney.

Bruce will be joined on the Gold Coast by Seven’s horse racing commentary team, including Hamish McLachlan, Emma Freedman, Jason Richardson, Lizzie Jelfs and Daniel MacPherson, while Kate Waterhouse will cover all the trackside fashion and fun from the dazzling event on broadcast and the 7horseracing and 7racingstyle social media channels.

With increased prize money, the $3 million 2YO Classic is the highlight of the $14.25 million, 11-race program that includes eight races worth more than $1 million each. With an all-class field of racehorses purchased via the Magic Millions Sale auctions, Storm Boy will start as one of the favourites in the event, with the star colt’s main competition expected to come from Spywire.

Another highlight is the $3 million Magic Millions Guineas for three-year-olds, which also boasts increased prize money in 2024.

Magic Millions Raceday is the culmination of a huge week on the Gold Coast with live coverage of the Magic Millions yearling sales available live and free on 7plus until Tuesday, 16 January.

Following The Star Gold Coast Magic Millions Raceday, sports fans can strap themselves in for an epic week of sport on Seven, featuring the 2024 Santos Tour Down Under, NFL playoffs, the final week of the Big Bash League regular season, and the highly anticipated first Test between Australia and the West Indies, live from Adelaide Oval from Wednesday, 17 January.

Then, straight after 7NEWS on Day One of the Australia v West Indies Test, cricket fans will be in for a treat, with the epic Big Bash League finals series moving into full swing, live and free on Seven.

Seven has long been the undisputed leader in racing broadcasting and continues that rich tradition in 2024.

In 2023, Seven’s racing coverage reached 10.1 million Australians (across broadcast and BVOD, up 7% year-on-year.

A long-term agreement to 2027 with Racing Victoria and Racing NSW, which includes key race days in conjunction with Racing Queensland and Racing SA, cements Seven as Australia’s home of racing and means Australians enjoy 52 weeks of elite racing across the country.
