FIFA Women’s World Cup on Channel 7 – Seven announces Round of 16 schedule The Matildas to take centre stage on Monday night.

After a thrilling group stage, which saw the Matildas soar to the top of Group B, the Seven Network’s broadcast schedule for the highly anticipated FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ Round of 16 has been confirmed.

In prime time on Monday night, Australia’s national team will face Denmark in a do-or-die clash at Stadium Australia, from 8.00pm AEST live and free and in HD* on Channel 7 and 7plus, with pre-game coverage on 7mate and 7plus from 7.30pm AEST.

7SPORT anchor Mel McLaughlin and broadcasting icon Bruce McAvaney will once again lead Seven’s coverage direct from Stadium Australia, as the Matildas look to make history and progress through to the all-important Quarter-Finals.

Joining them will be Seven’s expert pundits Elise Kellond-Knight, Heather Garriock and Izzy Christiansen, host and commentator Adam Peacock, and resident football callers Grace Gill and David Basheer.

As Matildas fans flood into Stadium Australia, 7SPORT presenter Emma Freedman will be on hand to deliver all the colour and excitement, live from Sydney.

Seven’s Head of Network Sport and Managing Director of Seven Melbourne, Lewis Martin, said:

“Monday night’s Round of 16 clash is set to be one of the most exciting moments in Australian sport history.

“There’s an undeniable excitement across Australia right now. The Matildas are coming, and you don’t want to miss it. I have a feeling their best is yet to come.

“As our national team continues their hunt to claim the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ title, Australians can watch all the biggest and best moments live and free on Seven, Your Home of Sport,” he said.

“So, settle into the best seat in the house on Channel 7 and 7plus and watch as our Matildas go for glory on home soil.”

The following matches will also feature in Seven’s FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ Round of 16 coverage:

Saturday, 5 August: Japan v Norway, Wellington Regional Stadium

Sunday, 6 August: Sweden v United States, Melbourne Rectangular Stadium

Tuesday, 8 August: France v Morocco, Hindmarsh Stadium

Following the Round of 16, Seven will be there for the Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, the Final and every Matildas game – broadcast live and free across Seven and 7plus.
Beyond the live matches in prime time, Mel McLaughlin continues to deliver the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ Highlights Show, a 30-minute program to air at 2.00pm daily (check local guides).

Stream replays of all Seven’s licensed matches and every Matildas game on demand on 7plus, including Australia’s backs-against-wall defeat of Canada on Monday night, plus bonus content including athlete interviews and feature stories. FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™
