Recap | Drama on the dancefloor as Farmer Wants A Wife delivers wishes, kisses and goodbyes – The annual Country Ball brought romance, heartbreak and plenty of drama on Farmer Wants A Wife, with several ladies farewelling their chance at finding love while others took major steps forward in their relationships.
For Farmer Jason, the fallout from the previous night’s tense dinner continued after Jessica made the decision to leave the farm.
“Jason and I had a really nice date, but I am quite disappointed. Jason did choose not to send anyone home, so, I’m actually not going to stay,” Jessica said.
It wasn’t the only emotional goodbye Jason would face. Front-runner Beth also made the difficult decision to leave, choosing to return home to her daughter.
“I can see a lot of potential in Farmer Jason and that’s not something you come across very often. It’s a bit heartbreaking to say goodbye. I need to go home and be with my daughter who needs me. I have to leave behind the chance of finding love.”
Alex and Eddy confront a potential obstacle
Following revelations about Eddy’s faith, Farmer Alex found himself questioning whether their connection could withstand their differences.
“I am smitten with Eddy. But I was a little bit rattled last night. After the dinner I realised that there may be religious differences between Ed and I.”
However, after sitting down to talk things through, Alex’s concerns appeared to ease, giving the pair hope that their relationship could continue to flourish.
Miranda’s wishes come true
Before heading to the Country Ball, Miranda had a clear vision of how she wanted the evening to unfold.
“I wish for a kiss from Zac tonight. I wish for the next date, and I wish for Jessica to go home. Wonder which one will come true.”
As Australian singer-songwriter Amy Sheppard performed live, the farmers and their ladies took to the dancefloor, but tensions quickly emerged on Farmer Zac’s farm.
Jessica struggled with watching Zac share moments with Miranda before ultimately deciding to leave the farm herself.
Not long after, Miranda found herself frustrated when Maya pulled Zac aside for a conversation.
“This was not the right moment. And it’s honestly giving desperate.”
Determined to secure more time with Zac, Miranda made her move.
“Getting that one-on-one time right now is really important. So, I’m going to do what it takes to get that date.”
Miranda’s persistence paid off, with the pair sharing a kiss before Zac selected her for the next solo date.
Solo date selections revealed
By the end of the Country Ball, each farmer had chosen one lady to join them on their next solo date.
The ladies selected were:
- Farmer Alex: Suzannah
- Farmer Dylan: Scarlett
- Farmer Jarrad: Yvonne
- Farmer Jason: Poppy
- Farmer Zac: Miranda
