Better Homes and Gardens on Channel 7 S32E25 – storyline for tonight’s episode of Better Homes and Gardens on Channel 7.

JOHANNA – A BETTER WAY WITH BRAE RESTAURANT
It’s considered one of the world’s best restaurants and, with its unique approach to cooking and produce, it’s easy to see why. Set in the Victorian Otways, Brae Restaurant aims to be as sustainable as possible, and to leave a positive impact on the land and their local community. And, with three hats to its name, this approach is paying off! Johanna is meeting up with the co-owners of Brae, Julianne Bagnato and renowned head chef, Dan Hunter, to learn more about this stunningly beautiful restaurant, which is set amongst the farm fields from which its produce comes, and to chat all things paddock to plate.

COLIN – DUCK CONFIT WITH FRENCH LENTILS
Colin’s making a classic French dish that’s been loved the world over for centuries. Duck legs are flavoured with orange, star anise, cinnamon and nutmeg then slow cooked in duck fat until meltingly tender. Paired with French lentils cooked with garlic, onion and thyme, this old-world classic is still just as impressive today.

CHARLIE – REVIVE TO SURVIVE
We’ve all got a spot in the garden that is really struggling. Whether it’s a barren flower bed, or a shady spot under a tree, there are some places where nothing seems to grow…no matter what you try. This week, Charlie’s taking you through a simple checklist of common problems, so you can take the guesswork out of the process, avoid spending money on plants that won’t thrive, and finally fix that sad spot in your garden for good.

MELISSA – FLOWER HALL FLOWER FARMERS
Did you know that about half of the cut flowers sold in Australia are imported from overseas? Not only does this significantly increase their environmental impact, but it takes business away from local flower farmers, who are growing extraordinary blooms. Melissa’s taking a look at this year’s cut flower display at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show to find out more about what makes fresh Aussie flowers a cut above the rest.
DR HARRY – DENIS THE DONKEY
When Scott and Danielle’s kids left home, they did the opposite of what most empty nesters do…they upsized. The couple bought their own acreage just north of Sydney so that Danielle could spend more time doing what she loves most: riding horses. She owns and rides two of her own horses, plus the farm is home to a quirky crew of animal friends including Nougat the alpaca, a Rhodesian ridgeback and a farm cat. The latest addition to the family is Denis the donkey and, although he’s settled in well, he’s also had some unwanted attention…from flies! These pests have been biting Denis’s legs incessantly, causing nasty sores. It’s a tough problem to tackle, but Dr Harry might have the answer…and it’s his most creative solution ever!
ADAM – TODAY IS MAINTENANCE DAY
We all have those nagging tasks around the home that we keep putting off…but it’s time to tick them off your to-do list. Adam’s showing us how to tackle three common DIY jobs around the house: a gate that won’t close, a window that won’t open, plus a standing mirror that is in dire need of a frame. Along the way, he’s providing plenty of motivation to help you tackle your own list.
