JOHANNA + ADAM – SAVING WATER AT HOME
We all know that saving water at home will reduce your water bill and reduce your impact on the environment. But did you know there are some simple ways to conserve water that most people don’t know about? And what does milk have to do with it? This week, Johanna and Adam are sharing some clever ideas to help you save water everywhere in your home – from the kitchen to the laundry, the bathroom to the garden and more. And we guarantee you won’t have heard of some of these tips before!
COLIN – PEARL BARLEY RISOTTO WITH CHICKEN
Everyone loves a good risotto, but if you’re not careful, it can turn into a gluey mess. So this week, Colin’s replacing risotto rice with pearl barley. And not only is it a whole lot easier to cook, it adds a nice nutty flavour to your dish, too. Paired with chicken, chorizo, thyme and lots of cheese, who needs rice when you’ve got this?
DR HARRY – BEAVIS THE PIG
When Leila Doull’s big-hearted husband discovered an abandoned piglet on a construction site…he didn’t hesitate to help. The little piglet had a collar and was obviously a pet, but after weeks of searching, the Doull family couldn’t find the owner. Beavis the piglet stole their hearts and quickly became a part of the family. But two years on, this little piglet isn’t so little anymore. In fact, he’s huge! Leila needs a crash course on pig parenting – from housing to fencing, feeding and more. Dr Harry is here to help.

Australia is home to some of the most unique and stunningly beautiful plants on earth…so why don’t many of us make the most of them? This week, Charlie’s meeting Kath Gadd, a landscape designer who specialises in using native plants specific to site and setting. Her work is a true testament to the power of using indigenous plants in garden spaces and she’s also passionate about bringing the calming nature of plants to urban environments. Charlie’s meeting up with Kath to tour one of her most beautifully designed gardens and to learn more about the principles behind her work.
MELISSA – SPRING INTO THE GARDEN
The days are getting longer, the weather a little warmer and our gardens are finally starting to wake up. Spring is here and it’s the perfect time to get outside and take advantage of all the growth and activity outside. This week, Melissa’s guiding you through a few simple spring gardening jobs. From getting your lawn looking its best, to creating a peaceful spot for relaxation, there is plenty to do now to get your garden looking great for months to come.
CLARISSA – PORK DUMPLINGS (POT STICKERS)
Chinese pan-fried pork dumplings, or potstickers as they’re affectionately known, may have a less than flattering name, but they’re more than tasty! Between the dumplings, the chilli-based dipping sauce and the crispy lace cooked around the dumplings, you’ve got a dish that looks good enough to be served in a restaurant. These dumplings are perfect for freezing… if you can prevent your family from eating them first!
