Australian Idol on Channel 7 – Get ready for a double serve of epic Aussie music talent when judge Amy Shark and Sam Fischer perform their tender duet, High On You, exclusively for Australian Idol next Monday, 20 March on Channel 7 and 7plus.
A fan of Sam’s music for many years, Amy is excited to bring their ethereal track to the Idol stage: “It’s been such a treat watching all the contestants perform for us these past weeks, but I’m definitely looking forward to stepping out from behind the desk and doing what I love to do! Plus, I get to perform with my good friend Sam. It’s going to be a really special performance.”
After honing her craft and self-producing her music for years, Amy became a household name in 2016 with the release of her breakout hit, the six-time platinum single Adore, whichput her on the map as one of Australia’s most formidable songwriters. Amy’s latest album, Cry Forever, was her second ARIA #1 debut and held the top spot for two consecutive weeks.
Los Angeles based Australian singer-songwriter Sam Fischer exploded into stardom during the pandemic with his anthem This City – which spent five consecutive weeks at #1 on the ARIA Australian Singles Chart and is now five-time platinum certified in Australia.
More exclusive Australian Idol guest artist performances will be announced soon.
