Bathurst 1000 on Channel 7 broadcast schedule

Bathurst 1000 on Channel 7 – Milestone Bathurst 1000 kicks into gear Seven’s unbeatable live and free coverage from Mount Panorama starts on Friday.

The jewel in the crown of the Supercars Championship, the 2023 Repco Bathurst 1000 kicks into gear this Friday and the screens of Seven will bring fans three full days of high-octane action live and free from Mount Panorama.

On the 60th anniversary of the Great Race, Seven’s coverage begins from 9:50am AEDT Friday, 6 October on Channel 7, 7mate and 7plus, and will include all the unmissable moments from the practice laps to the all-important race and celebrations on Sunday. Seven’s broadcast of the highly anticipated final day at Mount Panorama starts from 7.30am AEDT Sunday on Channel 7 and 7plus.

Also celebrating a milestone this year is Seven’s resident motorsport expert, Sunrise’s Mark Beretta, who will suit up for his 25th Bathurst 1000 coverage alongside 7SPORT’s Mel McLaughlin, to bring Aussies every exhilarating moment from the mountain over an action-packed three days.

Joining them will be Erebus Motorsport driver Jack Perkins, who will provide expert commentary in between competing in the Bathurst 1000 alongside co-driver Will Brown, while fan favourite Emma Freedman will bring viewers all the colour, excitement and atmosphere from the mountain and the campgrounds, and the ever-popular Mark Larkham reports live from pit lane along Chris Stubbs, Chad Neylon and Riana Crehan.

Supercars icons Mark Skaife and Neil Crompton will lead the commentary of the Supercars Championship’s premier event, while Bathurst 1000 winner Greg Murphy will also join Seven for special insights.

The Repco Supercars Championship has been building to this week at Australian motorsport’s spiritual home, where reigning Bathurst champion Shane van Gisbergen returns with a new co-driver in Richie Stanaway, while Broc Feeney and Jamie Whincup look to continue their form after a nail-biting win at Sandown.

Managing Director Seven Melbourne and Head of Network Sport, Lewis Martin, said:

“It’s been a huge month of sport on Seven, and we’re just getting started.

“The Bathurst 1000 is undoubtedly the biggest day on the Australian motorsport calendar and we cannot wait to deliver all the best action from Mount Panorama across three full days of adrenaline-charged live and free racing, from this Friday.

“Once again, Seven has lined up an incredible broadcast team, led by Mark Beretta and Mel McLaughlin, alongside current driver Jack Perkins as he goes back and forth behind the wheel and the mic’ for Seven’s coverage,” he said.

“It’s going to be massive, and we cannot wait to bring you every thrilling moment, live and free.”

Seven’s Bathurst coverage on Friday will include Supercars practice and qualifying.

Saturday’s coverage from Mount Panorama starts at 9:50am AEDT on Channel 7, 7mate and 7plus, and will include Supercars practice and the Top 10 Shootout.

On Sunday, Seven’s broadcast kicks off with the Supercars warm up at 7.30am AEDT, before the event everyone has been waiting for – the Repco Bathurst 1000 – roars onto screens from 10.30am AEDT.

7plus features a dedicated motorsport hub for live and on-demand streaming of the Repco Bathurst 1000, along with race day highlights, Bathurst Throwbacks and archive footage, FAST channels, bonus content and exclusive features.

Seven has also partnered with Komo Technologies and Repco to deliver an innovative and integrated cross-platform digital experience hub to connect broadcast audiences across the Repco Bathurst 1000 weekend, and celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Great Race, with truly customised and personalised mobile engagement.

Viewers will be able to vote in real-time for their favourite decade of Bathurst’s rich 60-year history and test skills in a timed memory challenge to go in the running to win a share in more than 60 prizes, as well as submit questions to be answered live during Seven’s broadcast.
