Reindeer Mafia is a darkly comedic Nordic crime saga, which tells the story of a power struggle between the members of a family which controls local businesses and vast areas of wilderness. The story takes place in an alternate reality, and the small village community at its centre acts as a mirror to the modern global business world.

Brita Nelihanka, the great arctic matriarch, loses her fight against cancer and her family gathers for the funeral but her will is about to tear them apart.

Brita’s oldest son Sameli has returned from prison after serving a sentence for manslaughter. Brita’s widow Rouku Nelihanka finds out that Pieti, one of his sons, is not actually his biological offspring. Rouku feels inconsolably offended. For decades, he has been seen as the leading figure in the reindeer business. Now, all his land is at stake, and Rouku will not let go of it without a fight.

Thanks to Mauro’s driving force, Max embraces his musical talent and together they compose the first songs that will be produced by Claudio Cecchetto (Roberto Zibetti).

The People vs Robodebt

Australian Premiere Box Set Drop

Wednesday 24 September 2025 on SBS On Demand (Three episodes)

Powerful and unflinching, The People vs Robodebt is an emotionally charged political thriller which unravels the devastating human story behind one of Australia’s greatest political scandals. The full three-part docu-drama series will be available to stream on SBS on Demand on 24 September and episodes will air weekly on SBS.

In the long hot summer of 2016, the federal government’s new Online Compliance Intervention scheme roared like a bushfire through Australian society. This automated welfare system soon became known as “Robodebt” and over the next three years, almost half a million Australians were hounded to pay back debts they did not owe. The system was later found to be inaccurate, unethical and illegal. Some people lost their savings, their homes, their marriages and a few lost their lives. A brave handful of Australians witnessed what was happening and took a stand. In The People vs Robodebt many of these people tell their full story for the first time.

Using a potent combination of gripping documentary story-telling with high end drama, the series follows the tireless and heroic efforts of these extraordinary people who fought against the system: the Robodebt victims and their angry families, the crusading social media activists, the whistleblowers and investigative journalists, the tenacious lawyers, as well as the forgotten victims of Robodebt: the Centrelink workers who bravely battled the system from within – their complaints falling on deaf ears.

The series has unparallelled access to the heroic people who took a stand against Robodebt.

Key contributors include Jenny Miller, mother of Rhys Cauzzo, whose story was the first Robodebt suicide reported in the media; Deanna Amato, whose court case proved Robodebt was illegal; Felicity Button, one of the lead applicants in the class action against Robodebt; Sandra Bevan, who desperately tried to prove her innocence; Colleen Taylor, a veteran public servant who warned her superiors from the start that Robodebt was wrong; Jeannie-Marie Blake, a whistleblowing frontline Centrelink worker; Chris Knaus, the journalist who broke the first media stories about the flaws in the Robodebt scheme; Rachelle Miller, the insider and media adviser who worked to ‘control the narrative’ for the government; Lyndsey Jackson, who, on maternity leave with a newborn baby, started the #NotMyDebt website – fighting against the Robodebt scheme from her kitchen table; Asher Wolf (pseudonym), renowned digital activist and fellow instigator of #NotMyDebt; Dr Darren O’Donovan, one of Australia’s leading legal experts on Robodebt; Miles Browne and Charley Brumby-Rendell, the Victoria Legal Aid lawyers who defeated Robodebt in a legal battle against the government.

The People vs Robodebt is a CJZ production for SBS. Major production investment from SBS and Screen Australia. Financed with support from Screen NSW.

The People vs Robodebt will be available on SBS On Demand as a box set from 24 September and episodes will air weekly on SBS, Wednesdays at 7.30pm.

Reservation Dogs S1-3

Stream Free Box Set Drop

Thursday 25 September 2025 on SBS On Demand

From co-creators and executive producers Sterlin Harjo and Taika Waititi, Reservation Dogs is a comedy following the exploits of four Indigenous teenagers in rural Oklahoma who steal, rob and save in order to get to the exotic, mysterious and faraway land of California.

Bear Smallhill (D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai) is destined to be a warrior, and a leader. The only problem is he’s not a good fighter, and the gang doesn’t really consider him the leader. But with the guidance of a questionable spirit guide, he just might get there. Elora Danan (Devery Jacobs) may be the true leader of the group. But she’s so focused on getting to California, and so oblivious to her own power, that she often can’t see the beauty and goodness in herself and all around her. Street-smart tough girl Willie Jack (Paulina Alexis) is the beating heart of the group. She’s always looking out for her crew. Meanwhile, Cheese (Lane Factor) is the gentle, quiet ride-or-die who is so willing to go along with the group that he never stops to consider what his own dreams might be.

Filmed on location in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Reservation Dogs is a breakthrough in Indigenous representation on television both in front of and behind the camera. Every writer, director and series regular on the show is Indigenous. This first-of-its-kind creative team tells a story that resonates with them and their lived experiences – and invites audiences into a surprisingly familiar and funny world.

Reservation Dogs S1- 3 will be available from 25 September to stream free on SBS On Demand and double episodes will air on NITV, on Thursdays at 8.30pm.

Reservations Dogs’ recurring character Officer Big is played by Zahn McClarnon, who stars as Lieutenant Joe Leaphorn in Dark Winds S1-3 on SBS On Demand.

The series committed to casting Indigenous actors in main cast and recurring guest roles however there are some notable one-off appearances by non-Indigenous actors to spot across the three seasons, including Marc Maron, Megan Mullaley
