The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart on Prime Video – Amazon Original series The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart is the most successful Australian Original worldwide with the biggest opening weekend viewership globally for any Australian launch.

The series has also reached the top five in 78 countries, and top 3 in 42 countries, since launching on Friday August 4. The series is officially Certified Freshon Rotten Tomatoes  currently at 80% with an audience score of 95%, as well as receiving an 8.1/10 score on IMDb.

Sarah Christie, Senior Development Executive Amazon Studios, “2023 is the biggest year yet for local content for Prime Video, with nine Australian Amazon Originals releasing this year.

Following the launch of Class of ’07 and Deadloch earlier this year, the first four episodes of The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart are out now on Prime Video, with episodes dropping weekly every Friday. The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart is a sweeping, raw and emotional drama that spans generations, and we are thrilled to that the series is already gripping audiences around the globe as the secrets and mystery of Alice Hart and her family unfold.”

Jodi Matterson and Bruna Papandrea Executive Producers of The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart said,

“When we first read Holly Ringland’s novel five years ago, we knew it was something Made Up Stories had to make. We are passionate about taking Australian stories to a global audience, so it’s incredibly rewarding to see The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart become a worldwide success reaching the top five on Prime Video in 78 countries on its opening weekend.

The talent and dedication from all the cast and crew led by director Glendyn Ivin and showrunner Sarah Lambert as well as our partners at Prime Video and Fifth Season, was unparalleled at every point.”

From the producers of Big Little Lies and Nine Perfect Strangers, the seven-part series stars Sigourney Weaver (Avatar, Alien), Gold Logie and AACTA award winner Asher Keddie (Nine Perfect Strangers, Offspring), 2022’s AACTA Best Lead Actress winner Leah Purcell (The Drover’s Wife: The Legend of Molly Johnson, Wentworth), Frankie Adams (The Expanse), Alycia Debnam-Carey (Fear the Walking Dead, Saint X).

The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart is executive produced by Jodi Matterson, Bruna Papandrea, and Steve Hutensky of Made Up Stories and Sigourney Weaver, Sarah Lambert, and Glendyn Ivin. Ivin directs all seven episodes and Lambert serves as showrunner.

About The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart

Based on Holly Ringland’s best-selling debut novel, the seven-part series tells the emotionally compelling story of Alice Hart. When Alice, aged 9, tragically loses her parents in a mysterious fire, she is taken to live with her grandmother June at Thornfield flower farm, where she learns that there are secrets within secrets about her and her family’s past.

Set against Australia’s breathtaking natural landscape, and with native wildflowers and plants providing a way to express the inexpressible, this enthralling family drama spans decades. As she grows from her complicated past, Alice’s journey builds to an emotional climax when she finds herself fighting for her life against a man she loves.

Sigourney Weaver stars as June Hart, Asher Keddie as Sally Morgan, Leah Purcell as Twig North, Frankie Adams as Candy Blue, and Alycia Debnam-Carey as Alice Hart.

Other cast members include; Alexander England (How to Please a Woman), Charlie Vickers (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power), Tilda Cobham-Hervey (I Am Woman), Sebastián Zurita (Amazon Original series Como Sobrevivir Soltero), Alyla Browne (Nine Perfect Strangers), and Xavier Samuel (Elvis).

The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart is produced by Amazon Studios, Made Up Stories, and Fifth Season. The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart is executive produced by Jodi Matterson, Bruna Papandrea, and Steve Hutensky of Made Up Stories, and Sigourney Weaver, Sarah Lambert, and Glendyn Ivin. Ivin directs all seven episodes and Lambert serves as showrunner.

Three of the seven episodes will be released on August 4, with one episode rolling out weekly until the series finale on September 1. The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart is the latest addition to the Prime membership.
