Coming to Prime Video in 2025 – 2025 is set to be a massive year of content for Prime Video with new films and TV shows, including Australian Originals,  as well as returning hits. Here is just a taste of this year’s  line-up with heaps  more to be announced!

The world of Richard Flanagan’s Book Prize winning novel, The Narrow Road to the Deep North, has been brought to life by writer Shaun Grant and directed by Justin Kurzel. An Australian Original series starring Jacob Elordi, Simon Baker, Olivia DeJonge and more, this is a love story to sustain audiences through the darkest of times, an intimate character study illustrating the strength of the human spirit in the face of adversity, and an investigation into a marriage and an unforgettable love affair.

Journey to the Top End in Top End Bub, an eight part Australian Original series following up the 2019 smash hit movie Top End Wedding. Miranda Tapsell and Gwilym Lee return to lead the cast as Lauren and Ned, as the pair find themselves thrust into parenthood when they unexpectedly become the guardians of an 8-year-old girl, Taya.

Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon team up for laugh-out-loud antics in You’re Cordially Invited, while Blink Twice, one of the most critically-acclaimed films of 2024, has its streaming debut.  An Amazon MGM Studios film directed by Zoë Kravitz, the psychological thriller stars Channing Tatum as tech billionaire Slater King. 

Returning this year for another season are fan-favourites Reacher, The Summer I Turned Pretty, Invincible  and Clarkson’s Farm.

THE NARROW ROAD TO THE DEEP NORTH

COMING SOON – AUSTRALIAN ORIGINAL SERIES

This new five-part drama series, based on Richard Flanagan’s Booker Prize winning novel, has been adapted by writer Shaun Grant and directed by Justin Kurzel. Starring Jacob Elordi, Odessa Young, Ciarán Hinds, Olivia DeJonge, Simon Baker, Thomas Weatherall and more.

We journey from Evans’ childhood to his experience as a prisoner-of-war on the Thailand-Burma Railway as a young man, and later in life, as a respected surgeon and Australian war hero. TOP END BUB

COMING SOON – AUSTRALIAN ORIGINAL SERIES

A TV series follow up to the 2019 smash hit movie, Top End Wedding, Top End Bub is an 8-part series co-created by Miranda Tapsell and Joshua Tyler.

Filmed in the Northern Territory and Adelaide, Top End Bub finds newlyweds Lauren, a successful Aboriginal lawyer, and her husband Ned, a British chef, living their best life in the Adelaide. But when they unexpectedly become the guardians of an 8-year-old girl, Taya, they must move to the Top End to look after her.

Miranda Tapsell and Gwilym Lee return to lead the cast as Lauren and Ned. Also reprising their roles are Ursula Yovich and Huw Higginson as Daffy and Trevor, Lauren’s parents; Shari Sebbens as Ronelle, Elaine Crombie as Dana and Tracy Mann as Annie, Ned’s mum. Joining the cast is Rob Collins, Brooke Satchwell, Guy Simon, Clarence Ryan and making her acting debut as Taya aka ‘Bub’ is Gladys-May Kelly.

A woman (Reese Witherspoon) planning her sister’s perfect wedding and the father (Will Ferrell) of a young bride-to-be find out that they are double booked for their destination wedding at a remote resort on an island off the Georgia coast. When both parties decide to share the small venue, chaos ensues and disaster awaits.

Unstoppable features an all-star ensemble cast including Jharrel Jerome, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Anthony Robles with Don Cheadle and Jennifer Lopez.

Unstoppable is produced by Artists Equity, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s production company.

No one wants this trip to end, but as strange things start to happen, Frida begins to question her reality. There is something wrong with this place. She’ll have to uncover the truth if she wants to make it out of this party alive.

With an ensemble cast including Naomi Ackie, Channing Tatum, Christian Slater, Simon Rex, Adria Arjona, Kyle MacLachlan, Haley Joel Osment, with Geena Davis and Alia Shawkat, Blink Twice is a wild psychological thriller directed by Zoë Kravitz.

Noah spends the summer adjusting to her new life, making new friends from Nick’s various circles, and navigating a complicated relationship with him while they fight to keep the attraction at bay.
