Wednesday on Netflix has Thing tour Sydney – After crawling out from under the Logies spotlight, Thing, the scene-stealing hand from Netflix’s Wednesday, has been spotted all over Sydney. In town on a reconnaissance mission, Thing is scoping out the city’s hotspots and making sure everything’s ready ahead of the first-ever Sydney visit from the cast and creators of Wednesday.
Lending a helping hand to some of Sydney’s most iconic experiences, Thing has been busy:
- Swanning Around: Clapping along (as best he could) at a Sydney Swans AFL game, showing his team spirit as he tucked into an AFL staple – a meat pie (no cutlery required)
 - Hand-Picked Brew: Like every true Sydneysider, Thing patiently queued at Single O Surry Hills for a morning caffeine fix, even disembodied hands need their daily dose
 - Face Off: Thing couldn’t resist a photo op with Luna Park Sydney’s legendary face, proving even a hand can steal the spotlight from a smile that big
 - Creature Feature: Getting up close and personal with some of the country’s most infamous creatures at WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo (though it’s still unclear who was more spooked)
 - The Hand & Hound Alliance: Teaming up with the legendary Seagull Patrol Dogs at Circular Quay, helping keep those feathered fiends at arm’s length

With Wednesday Season 2: Part 1 now streaming on Netflix, Thing’s escapades are setting the stage for the cast and creators of Wednesday to make their much-anticipated Sydney debut.
The highlight of the visit? Wednesday Island, a once-in-a-lifetime fan experience that will transform Cockatoo Island/Wareamah into a playground of gothic delight and supernatural intrigue on Saturday, August 16. With the likes of Jenna Ortega, Emma Myers, Hunter Doohan, and creative legends Tim Burton, Alfred Gough, and Miles Millar on hand, it’s set to be a celebration to die for.
Wednesday Season 2: Part 1 is now streaming on Netflix, with Part 2 launching on September 3.
