Son of a Donkey on Netflix #1 show in Australia – Netflix’s latest Aussie local original series Son of Donkey climbs to #1 in Netflix Australia’s Top 10 English TV show list, showcasing the strength of the Superwog fandom.
True to its roots, Son of a Donkey features the Saidden brothers as the characters fans know and love. Since release on October 30, fans have flooded social media hyped to see Theo and Nathan return to screens, with bigger storylines, bolder stunts and more chaos than ever before.

“This is the unhinged Aussie stuff I missed seeing on TV.”
– Jean-Paul B
“This show was GOLD. Every episode hit. 10/10, Superwog never misses, and Nathan? Absolute legend.”
– Tarun N
“There was not one episode I didn’t laugh at 🤣🤣.”
– Firebrick_cr7
Last month, Superwog fans showed up in full force at the Netflix Sports Club in Perth. Hundreds of dedicated fans, some queuing as early as 6:30 AM, arrived and were presented with large cutouts of their favourite characters, eager to meet Superwog and Dad and celebrate the series.
The enthusiasm wasn’t limited to the fans; the media also praised the Aussie series, commending Superwog’s comedic talent and enduring appeal.
“In the binfire of modern existence, everybody needs a laugh, and those laughs don’t need to be big-thinking or high-falutin. This one’s for those in a silly mood.”
– Flicks
“Unlike a lot of recent examples of so-called ‘wog humour’, this largely manages to avoid simplistic stereotypes. The four main characters – and at least some of the supporting ones – are comedy types pushed to extremes. Dad is a barely articulate force of nature, chopping his way through doors and walls to steal his son’s kidneys, grunting and spitting and barely able to wear human clothing (seriously, Nathan deserves a Logie for his work here).”
– Screenhub
“Son of a Donkey represents a milestone in the trajectory of Theodore and Nathan Saidden, consolidating their transition from digital figures to long-form content creators with full control over their artistic vision on a global platform. The series offers the familiarity of the characters Theo and Johnny, but places them within a more complex, contemporary narrative focused on the pressures of adulthood and the inescapable nature of family ties.”
– Martin Cid Times
