‘Ballkids’ Sells to Netflix ANZ Following School Holiday Box Office Success – Run Wild Productions and Mischief Media’s Ballkids bounces onto Netflix today after being acquired by the streamer for its Australia and New Zealand catalogue.
The documentary narrated by Celia Pacquola follows the sweaty, teary and ultimately triumphant journey of the country’s best ballkids as they progress through local and national trials, vie for highly-coveted finals spots on Rod Laver Arena and strive for the ultimate prize of Top Gun ballkid at the Australian Open at Melbourne Park.
The deal was inked by Icon Film Distribution following a successful, exclusive theatrical release across Village Cinemas in Victoria over the September school holidays. International sales company Rapt Distribution is handling worldwide sales rights.
