Foxtel Upfront | Binge and UK’s Channel 4 commission reality series Apocalypse – BINGE today announced APOCALYPSE, an epic, emotionally charged reality series commissioned by the UK’s Channel 4 in partnership with BINGE. Set to premiere in 2026, APOCALYPSE asks the ultimate question: Could you survive the end of the world?
APOCALYPSE is a world first social experiment that will see ordinary people from Australia and the UK dropped into a post-apocalyptic abandoned city armed with nothing but their wits and the clothes on their backs. No phones. No supplies. No outside contact. Just their instincts, their choices, and each other.
Unlike other survival shows, participants aren’t seasoned experts — they’re everyday people thrown together in extraordinary circumstances.
Combining their diverse backgrounds and skills, they must learn to adapt, collaborate, and push beyond their limits to not just survive, but thrive. What unfolds is part survival series, part psychological experiment: a pressure-cooker test of humanity, trust, and resourcefulness.
Filmed in a unique secret military location that is the size of a small town, APOCALYPSE is the Foxtel Group’s most ambitious original production ever. Cinematic in style and immense in scale, the eight-part series will be raw, unpredictable, and deeply emotional, exploring themes of resilience, community, and what we all carry within us when the world we know is stripped away.

APOCALYPSE is produced by The Garden (part of ITV Studios), the creatives behind global hits such as “Squid Game: The Challenge (a co-production with Studio Lambert) and “Alone”, and ITV Studios Australia for Channel 4 and Foxtel Group. Executive producers include Jo Harcourt-Smith and Tim Whitwell (The Garden); Keely Sonntag (ITV Studios Australia) and Howard Myers-Rifai (Foxtel Group). ITV Studios will handle international distribution. Production on APOCALYPSE will commence soon, with further details to be announced in the coming months.
