Super Bowl LX takes title as the ‘most-watched Live Sporting Event’ on ESPN on Disney+ in Australia and New Zealand – Australia and New Zealand’s most beloved entertainment platform Disney+ attracted a record viewership of its ESPN livestream of the NFL’s Super Bowl LX on Monday, February 9 AEDT.
In the game, the Seattle Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots and lifted the Vince Lombardi trophy at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, and the Super Bowl Halftime show featuring Puerto Rican superstar and Latin rap artist Bad Bunny entertained millions watching from around the world.
Super Bowl LX was the most-watched live sporting event on Disney+ in Australia and New Zealand (by hours streamed) since the launch of ESPN on Disney+ in March 2025.
A replay of Super Bowl LX: Seattle Seahawks v New England Patriots is available on Disney+ for subscribers in Australia and New Zealand.
This year was the first time the Super Bowl and localised studio programming was available on ESPN on Disney+ in Australia and New Zealand, with an exclusive ANZ broadcast called by ESPN’s Chris Fowler, Dan Orlovsky, Louis Riddick and Australian Super Bowl champion Jordan Mailata.
The Super Bowl has been available on ESPN in Australia and New Zealand for more than two decades via distribution partners, including Foxtel, Kayo, Fetch TV and Sky NZ.

In 2027, the Super Bowl LXI will be on ESPN in the US for the first time, as well as Australia and New Zealand, from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
