Colin from Accounts on Binge – BINGE today announced production is underway across Sydney on the second season of the critically acclaimed series Colin from Accounts from creators, writers and Logie Award-winning stars Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer and award-winning production companies Easy Tiger and CBS Studios.

The romantic comedy about flawed, funny people choosing each other and embracing the all-too-relatable chaos of modern life together returns with more relationship misadventures of Ashley and Gordon.

After being brought together in season one by a spontaneous nipple flash and the subsequent accident that injured the titular (no pun intended) dog, season two of the hit series opens with Ash and Gordon now living together and trying to get their beloved, special needs dog Colin back from his new owners.

Joining Brammall and Dyer for season two are returning cast members Emma Harvie (Frayed, Diary of an Uber Driver), Genevieve Hegney (Young Rock, Doctor Doctor), Michael Logo (Love Me, Daryl in Why Are you Like This), Helen Thomson (Rake, Elvis), Darren Gilshenan (Dark City, A Moody Christmas), Annie Maynard (Upper Middle Bogan, Playing for Keeps) and Tai Hara(Hyde and Seek, Home and Away) with new cast members yet to be announced.

Brammall and Dyer said:

“Season 1 went better than expected so here’s hoping we don’t mess this one up. We are thrilled to be back playing Ashley and Gordon running amok in the streets of Sydney. We are just sad we had to leave our actual dog in America. Doesn’t seem to be in the spirit of the show, but here we are.”

Executive producers Rob Gibson and Ian Collie of Easy Tiger Productions said:

“Thanks to our wonderful partners at Binge and CBS Studios, and the millions of Colin fans in Australia and around the world, for another joyous instalment with Harri, Patty and the Colin team.”

Alison Hurbert-Burns, Executive Director BINGE and Commissioning & Content Foxtel Groupsaid:

“We’re rolling! Patrick and Harriet lead a hilarious cast and we are excited to see them return to our screens to find out what’s in store for these much-loved characters (and Colin) in season two.”

Season one of the 8-episode series launched in Australia to widespread critical and audience acclaim, breaking records to become the Foxtel Group’s most watched original scripted series of all time. The series has been a global success, premiering across the world including in the UK on BBC and the US on Paramount+ to rave reviews, with a certified fresh score of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The hit comedy series also received an outstanding 10 nominations for the 2024 AACTA Awards including Best Narrative Comedy Series, Best Acting in Comedy Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer along with first time nominee Helen Thomson, two nominations for Best Direction in Drama or Comedy, two nominations for Best Screenplay in Television, Best Editing and Best Casting in Television making it the most nominated comedy series this year and one of the most nominated shows.

Colin from Accounts is produced by Easy Tiger Productions (Jack Irish, Rake, The Twelve) and CBS Studioswith Rob Gibson, Ian Collie, Patrick Brammall, Harriet Dyer, Trent O’Donnell, Alison Hurbert-Burns and Lana Greenhalgh serving as executive producers and Kevin Greene producing. O’Donnell returns as set-up director, with Robyn Butler and Wayne Hope taking the reins for three episodes and Madeleine Dyer returning to direct an episode.

The series distributed outside Australia and New Zealand by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
