Corriedale airs exclusively on UKTV in Australia – Two iconic British soap operas, Coronation Street and Emmerdale, unite in a first-of-its kind epic crossover special, Corriedale, coming to Australia on BBC UKTV on Tuesday 27 January 2026 at 6:40pm AEDT, via Foxtel and Fetch.
Starring Vicky Myers (DS Lisa Swain, Coronation Street) and Danny Miller (Aaron Dingle, Emmerdale), Corriedale is set against the dramatic backdrop of the Pennines, where characters from Weatherfield and Hotten unexpectedly collide when they find themselves at the centre of a multi-vehicle pile-up – blending gripping drama with emotional scenes that fans of both shows won’t want to miss.
Iain MacLeod, Executive Producer, ITV Studios Continuing Drama said,
“This television event is hugely ambitious with never-before-seen stunts. It’s a celebration of everything fans love about British drama and we’re thrilled that Australian audiences will experience it on UKTV, with viewers able to immerse themselves in the stories and characters they adore.”
This special instalment joins an already-strong line-up of engaging British soaps available to watch on UKTV, including the aforementioned Coronation Street and Emmerdale, which recently included a surprise guest appearance of Australian actor and singer Jason Donovan, as well as BBC’s EastEnders.
Sarah Kenny, Head of Content and Editorial, BritBox & BBC Studios Branded Services ANZ said,
“It’s clear that Aussie fans can’t get enough of legendary British soaps so the arrival of Corriedale will be no exception, and with UKTV being the home of British soaps in Australia, it is the ultimate location for this groundbreaking event. This strong fan engagement is testament to the quality of the premium British content that we deliver across all our Channels, and why viewers continue to tune in and keep coming back for more.”
“We’re excited to continue to provide our audiences with these sought-after and fan-favourite titles, as UKTV remains as one of the most-watched entertainment channels on Foxtel and Fetch,” said Kenny.
Also coming to the channel is a unique and action-packed flashforward episode of EastEnders, which airs on UKTV on Thursday 5 February 2026 at 7:50pm AEDT. Set in 2027, the episode steps exactly one year into Max Branning’s future, and begs the question as to what events will transpire in 2026 to bring this future to fruition.
Viewers can watch the Corriedale crossover special, as well as other fan-favourites like EastEnders, Coronation Street and Emmerdale exclusively on UKTV in Australia, live or On Demand via Foxtel or Fetch TV.
