United Cup serves up the Summer of Tennis on Channel 9 – The best tennis players in the world will fight for international supremacy when the United Cup is served up on Nine from Friday, January 2.
18 nations will descend on Sydney and Perth for the annual mixed-teams event, with every game available live and free on the 9Network, with live coverage on demand on Stan Sport.
Headlining the draw is five of the world’s top 10 men and four of the world’s top 10 women, including Australia’s Alex de Minaur, Poland’s Iga Swiatek, defending champions from Team USA Coco Gauff and Taylor Fritz, Germany’s Alexander Zverev and Great Britain’s Jack Draper.
Lining up in Perth is Japanese four-time grand slam champion Naomi Osaka and much loved Greek duo Stefanos Tsitsipas and Maria Sakkari.
Joining De Minaur on team Australia in Sydney will be our top ranked female Maya Joint. Each tie consists of one men’s singles match, one women’s singles match, and a mixed doubles match.
The tournament commentary line up will include Nine’s Jim Courier, Todd Woodbridge, Sam Smith and Casey Dellacqua and Brenton Speed.
The 9Network’s coverage will be hosted by Emma Lawrence, Michael Atkinson and Nick McArdle.
