Pacific Championships on Channel 9 every game live and free – Football action roars on with the Pacific Championships starting this weekend, with every hard-hitting match live and free on the 9Network and 9Now.
Over four massive weeks, the Pacific Championships bring together the best rugby league teams in the Pacific. With an all star line-up of the NRL’s best of the best representing their nations, the competition is set to deliver top-tier footy at its finest.
Teams from Australia (Jillaroos), New Zealand, Samoa, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Tonga and Cook Islands will meet in 14 test matches from Saturday, October 18, through to November 9.
Round one kicks off this Saturday with the Women’s Pacific Championships where the PNG Orchids play the Cook Islands Moana at 2.00pm AEDT, followed by the men’s clash between the Fiji Bati and Cook Islands Aitu at 4.00pm AEDT with coverage from 1.30pm AEDT.
This Sunday (October 19), both the New Zealand men’s and women’s teams clash with Samoa, in what promises to be an electric showdown featuring some of the game’s biggest names, with coverage from 1.00pm AEDT.
Nine’s Wide World of Sports will provide expert commentary and analysis throughout the Pacific Championships.
Hosted by Emma Lawrence, Nine’s coverage will feature a galaxy of great names in rugby league, including former Australian captains Andrew Johns, Brad Fittler, Darren Lockyer and Cameron Smith, former Jillaroos Allana Ferguson and Ruan Sims, plus Kangaroos legends Billy Slater, Johnathan Thurston and Paul Gallen, as well as Phil Gould, Bronte Gildea, Marlee Silva and commentators Peter Psaltis and Brenton Speed. Every game of the Pacific Championships is available live and free on the 9Network and 9Now.
