Josie Baff wins gold for Australia at Milano Cortina on Channel 9 – In her second Olympic Winter Games, Josie Baff has claimed gold for Australia in the Women’s Snowboard Cross at Milano Cortina 2026.
It was an exhilarating race down the track in Livigno, where Baff displayed incredible tactical poise. Coming out of the gates aggressively, Baff dominated the field down the whole track.
Baff entered the Olympic season in elite form, sitting in second in the world standings. She raced consistently throughout the whole event, coming a strong second in her quarter-final and winning her semi-final to secure her place in the Big Final.
In a full-circle moment, Baff was the first Australian ever to win a Winter Youth Olympic Games gold medal at the Lausanne 2020 Games and now takes home a senior Olympic gold medal. This is Australia’s second gold medal of the games, following Cooper Woods’ gold in the Men’s Freestyle Ski Moguls on Day 6.
