Jakara Anthony wins gold for Australia at Milano Cortina on Channel 9 – Jakara Anthony has proven exactly why she was a defending champion coming into Milano Cortina 2026, claiming gold in the Olympic debut of Women’s Freestyle Skiing Dual Moguls.
Anthony came into her third Olympic Winter Games as the reigning gold medalist in the Women’s Moguls. While she was unfortunately unable to replicate that result in the singles event earlier this week, this gold medal is the ultimate redemption run.
From the start of the event, Anthony dominated the field and cruised into the Big Final against Jaelin Kauf from USA. It was neck and neck but she clinched the win in a thrilling finish and a score of 20.
This is Australia’s third gold medal after Josie Baff’s in the Women’s Snowboard Cross and Cooper Woods’ in the Men’s Freestyle Ski Moguls. This brings Australia’s medal tally to four, including Scotty James’ silver in the Men’s Snowboard Halfpipe.
