Danielle Scott wins silver in the freestyle skiing aerials at Milano Cortina on Channel 9 – In her fourth Olympic Winter Games, Danielle Scott has finally claimed a spot on the podium with a silver in the Women’s Freestyle Skiing Aerials at Milano Cortina 2026.
Despite her consistent success, including World Cup medals and being a two-time Crystal Globe winner (2023 and 2024), an Olympic podium was something that kept slipping away. Scott was consistent all event, advancing directly to the Final from Heat 1 before entering the Super Final in the top spot. She displayed technical brilliance under pressure and scored a 102.17 in her final run, behind Chinese athlete Mengtao Xu with a score of 112.90.
This is Australia’s sixth medal, further solidifying this as Australia’s most successful Olympic Winter Games in history. Scott joins an elite group of 2026 medallists including:
- Cooper Woods: gold in Men’s Freestyle Skiing Moguls
- Josie Baff: gold in Women’s Snowboard Cross
- Jakara Anthony: gold in Women’s Freestyle Skiing Dual Moguls
- Scotty James: silver in Men’s Snowboard Halfpipe
- Matt Graham: bronze in Men’s Freestyle Skiing Dual Moguls
