ESPN delivers a Thanksgiving Football Feast with a mega EIGHT game schedule – NFL fans on ESPN will have a lot to be thankful for in Week 13, with a massive eight live games in the schedule including three back-to-back on Friday with heavyweights the Packers, Lions, Chiefs, Cowboys, Ravens, Rams, 49ers, Bills, Broncos and Patriots all featuring.
Week 13 NFL on ESPN brings one of the biggest weeks ever seen on the network, kicking off with three live games back-to-back on Friday AEDT, as part of a Thanksgiving Football Feast.
Friday’s smorgasbord begins at 5am AEDT with the Green Bay Packers meeting the Detroit Lions in a divisional showdown.
The NFC North remains one of the tightest in the NFL, with both the Packers and Lions sitting just a game behind the Chicago Bears at the top.
Green Bay and Detroit are in winning form, but the Packers come into this one in arguably the better form having impressed in their 23-6 win against the Vikings.
The blockbusters continue next at 8.30am AEDT with the Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys colliding.
Two sides that needed to win in Week 12, and both duly delivered, over the more highly fancied opposition.
Kansas City sent a message to the NFL that their playoff push remains very much alive, overcoming the #3 seed Colts 23-20 in overtime.
Dallas roared back from a 21-0 deficit to take down their bitter rivals Philadelphia, who at the time were top of the NFC.
The last minute 24-21 win has the Cowboys back at 5-5, and makes the Chiefs encounter just as crucial, with both teams in a logjam of franchises fighting to make the post-season.
Then at 12.15pm AEDT, the Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens face off in another divisional dance.
Baltimore amazingly lead the AFC North after a disastrous start to the season.
Five straight wins has turned the Ravens 1-5 record to a 6-5 record and handed them top peg in the division.
Cincinnati on the other hand have lost four games in a row, and although playoffs remain a mathematical possibility, their fortunes will need to turn extremely quickly.
Monday will then see a further four games in a marathon of NFL action, which includes NFL RedZone on Disney+ as well.
Beginning at 5am AEDT on ESPN, the Los Angeles Rams tackle the Carolina Panthers.
Los Angeles Rams are the hottest team in the league right now and have rocketed to the top of the NFC.
Six straight wins, the league’s best record and point differential, suddenly the Rams have become the team to beat.
Also, at 5am AEDT on ESPN2, the San Francisco 49ers meet the Cleveland Browns.
The focus in Cleveland is on rookie QB, Shedeur Sanders, who became the first Browns QB to win on debut in 26 years.
The fifth rounder is the most talked about first year player perhaps in NFL history, and although the starting debut win was a feel-good story – the arrival of the 49ers may not be.
Next at 8.25am AEDT, the Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers clash.
Both sides were beaten last round and find themselves sitting on the bubble in the AFC Conference.
Buffalo currently holds the final spot in the NFL Playoffs, with Pittsburgh a place below in eighth spot.
A long way to go still before the post-season, but this one could be a game both reflect on if they miss out on a playoff spot.
Finally at 12.15pm AEDT, Denver Broncos and the Washington Commanders do battle.
The Broncos sit just a game behind the New England Patriots at the top of the AFC Conference.
Denver will be well rested having had a bye in Week 12 and well prepped for the 3-8 Commanders whose season is firmly in the doldrums.
Rounding out the stacked Week 13 schedule on Tuesday is the New York Giants and New England Patriots at 12.15pm AEDT on ESPN.
The Giants are the only side in the NFL to be mathematically unable to reach the post-season right now.
Pride is all they are playing for at this point and Week 13 sees the arrival of the AFC #1 seed Patriots.
New England are firming for a Super Bowl push and can’t afford to slip in New York, a team who can only play spoiler from here on out.
